To be honest mate, I wouldn't give it much thought; nothing but an internet rumour at this stage.

The only club Aaron would leave melbourne for is essendon, and thats only because of his brother. He's got (expectedly) strong ties with him and tried to get him to shift to the Dees IIRC.

After Alwyn (spl?) was drafted I thought a "brothers" rule similar to the father/son rule should be implemented. Be great to see them running around in the same jumper.

No, I don't give any credence to this talk about Davey- I don't think this 'rumour' has any real credibility at all from what I've seen.

As far as McLean goes, well, from my point of view, the main disappointment isn't that our squad would be particularly worse off, because I don't think this will affect the strength of our list really- but more that we had some illusions shattered about McLean with this announcement, obviously.

Thought he was going to be a dedicated clubman, and all signs pointed to this at one time, but that proved not to be the case.

He's certainly by no means irreplaceable within our team structure, because there are a number of players in his mould and at his level of performance, so that's not a problem.

Hopefully we'll come out of this trade significantly better off, with Pick 11 securing us perhaps Talia or Panos...

I would simply find it staggering if Davey left, not because of his relationship with the MFC but because of his relationship with Liam, Aussie, Neville, Jamie and I guess Wheels. This bloke is like a father figure to them, there best of mates who have been brought together by the MFC.

Nether the less if Davey does want to move on it will take 2 first round draft picks so good luck finding them.

Obviously players wouldn't like it when they're busting a gut for the team to try and finally win some matches but their coaching staff are deliberately trying to fix the match and lose by limiting interchanges, playing players out of position, changing match-ups into the oppisitions favour, dropping better players, bringing in spuds, etc. McLean was played in the forward pocket for several games when he's an inside midfielder and Davey was benched for incredible lengths of time when he was on fire. They were among the many moves made so I can understand why they're disgruntled.

Some players are dumb but it would be incredibly easy to notice and pick up on, especially if you're on the inside and know the inner workings like a player would. Enjoy your tanking karma Melbourne and I hope 5 more players walk out on you.

For this to happen, you'd firstly need to trade for Aaron, pay him good cash...and um...yeah...Alwyn would have to improve so he could make your side. We have the top Davey. Forget it.
