Just my own personal opinion... assume it’s a Victorian club... an AFL legend narrows it down again... the fact they mention that his son is a promising athlete, not footballer... and the reference to it harming his future sporting ambitions...

I’m probably way off the mark so won’t throw the name out there!
Looks like my ‘suspect’ is no longer in school, I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5 🤦🏻‍♂️

The schoolboy and promising sportsman has been accused of “digital rape” of a 14-year-old girl and posting images of the attack on social media without her permission.

Parents of the distraught girl want police to charge the talented junior athlete after he and two school mates were arrested over the alleged sexual assault and its alleged sharing via mobile phone and social media.

It is believed the girl had been drinking with friends at a Melbourne house party in mid-October and passed out, unaware anything untoward had happened.

But when she attended school the following week, a friend showed her a video circulating on social media allegedly taken while she was unconscious.

A family friend said the girl had been traumatised by the incident and had given a statement to police.

“She’s in a horrific mental state, as any girl of that age would be,’’ he said.

“She doesn’t even want to go to school.’’

The Herald Sun understands the video was allegedly distributed via text message and then posted on social media.

Victoria Police confirmed it was investigating after a video recorded on October 12 was uploaded online.

“The video was posted without consent,” a Victoria Police statement said.

Police said two teenage boys have been issued with cautions for distributing an intimate image.

Another boy is “assisting police with inquiries”, the statement said.

“As the investigation is ongoing it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

The Herald Sun has been told police warned the teen his sporting dream is in jeopardy if convicted.

The rising star could also be added to the sex offender’s register if found guilty.

The teenager is alleged to have helped film the incident on a mobile phone.

It was then shared publicly through a social media app numerous times.

I'm sure his name being mentioned on an internet forum won't ruin his life.

Yeah, I’m sure kids from their school wouldn’t run with s**t they’ve read on the internet. It’s not like these kids chose to be in a family with a potentially famous name.

If the alleged is true, that takes a certain level of mental sickness, that goes beyond just being a "horny teenager" or "dumb kid who made a mistake". To not only do that to someone who has passed out, but film it, and share the video, that's real sociopathic stuff.

The kids from school knew about it before the victim did after the clip was shared on line.

What’s that got to do with posting random names out accusing someone of doing something they didn’t do?

Everyone at the school concerned knows who it is all about. Nothing random at the coalface where this little puntz decided to rape a 14 year old then share it with the world via social media.
You made the silly comment that the kids at school would not run with what they read on the internet.
Hey bozo, the kids at school put it on the interent. Everyone at the school knows who ,what and where. No danger of someone being falsely accused as the perpetrator did not hide the fact.

How dumb would you have to be to think you could do something so awful and you wouldn’t get caught out.

To allegedly do this and share it around makes it seem like they're proud of it. Even if the sharing "got out of hand", filming in the first place implies that it's something you'd like to share or look back on at some stage, which is sick in itself.

If the alleged is true, the perpetrator deserves any shame or ridicule going their way.

15 year old boys (who have probably been drinking) aren't known for the depth of their wisdom or foresight.

To allegedly do this, and then share it around, it's more than "young, drunk, stupid". If they had even a skeric of regret or remorse, they would have deleted the video without sharing. That wouldn't make it right (ideally, they would have never touched the girl), but the way it has allegedly ended up implies a bit more thought and calculation and malice than "being stupid on the piss".

*sigh*

Try again mate. My comment was around people posting on BigFooty random names, people have already implied a couple of different kids.

Obviously the actual perpetrator is known at their school
