Couldn't leave GD when I was in exam period, it was way too addictive. Even stayed up reading when I had an exam the next day.

I had an essay due 2 weeks ago and a short assignment due a week ago. Neither of them are even close to being done, because I've spent the last week reading the GD board (and watching DBZ episodes, fuelled as it happens by reading the DBZ thread on GD).

The recent explosion in posts has had the opposite effect for me - it's pretty much killed my addiction because I don't have time to keep up with what's going on. I used to read most threads of interest, now I only glance at at the shortest ones and I don't understand half the memes.

I was addicted to the tlc board on this site a few years ago but i find to get addicted the environment has to be like "welcome to cheers" where you spend more time among random posters than you do your friends. Not discounting it, because I've been witness to some incredibly funny things on that board.

Honestly, I've browsed lately and knowing nothing about what is going on i find it pretty uninspiring. I'm not having a go at those of you who love it just giving you what it requires to build up that love.
