My issue with Adelaide Oval was not enough choice for food. Indian is delicious but it feels a bit weird to walk back to your seat with a steaming vindaloo.
Burger Theory wasn't there ?!?! :O juicy, delicious food-truck style burgers. They are normally at the Oval on event days.
As for 'why do people live here' - you could say that about many places. I was born and bred in Adelaide. I like the 'quiet charm', as you so put it. I love the hills and our beaches, our street trees, good food and wine (although I don't really drink so these are other people's opinions ha). People complain about the traffic but it's nowhere near as bad as the bigger cities. Yeah we have some issues to sort out (transport, infrastructure, ridiculous electricity prices) but housing is relatively affordable and we have lovely heritage buildings, museums, and lots of things for families to enjoy. You just have to look a bit harder sometimes
Just as Ben Folds said - "why Adelaide? because I want to!"
