On the subject.

A question:
Who here has NOT taken any hallucinogenic drugs in their life?

and
Is anyone having anything to listen to the playlist? (other than greycrow)
Never tried drugs. Not even tried a cigarette. Never appealed to me *shrug* And I've even only been 'drunk' once in my life!

Went and saw a comedy gig last night at fringe.

Interestingly the first man up was a guy I nommed in the contest (Chris Franklin).

It was an interesting case study in how you can go from a No.1 hit to jerking the curtain in 15 years.

I felt sorry for him
He did our cricket clubs 10 year reunion last summer. One of his jokes was 17 years ago the Richmond FC invited me to play my number 1 song at the MCG, and I thought at the time “Shit, I hope this gets me a gig at the Legana Premiership Reunion”

Also, he gave one of our guys who was heckling the greatest bake I’ve heard from a comedian. To be honest, he was pretty ******* good still!

If it's anything like the acid trips I've taken they would probably be in no fit state to listen to the playlist and vote.

There are people who think music ended in 2000 (or even earlier) and they are going to pick and stick what they know.
Yeah, it's a real shame. Depriving themselves of so much great music with a stubborn, and, well, petulant attitude. I'm still a firm believer that music simply gets better and better (not necessarily the quality, but undoubtedly the quantity).
Greatest thing Floyd ever did. ****en masterpiece.
For me, personally, and as basic as a choice it is, Comfortably Numb is still my favourite, but objectively, I do think Echoes is the best song they ever released.

Thats pretty funny, Ill give him that.

His set was more around how he broke up with his wives twice and it was meh.

He also kinda co-hosted our night so he would bring out a few gems on the run while asking guys questions which made it even better that he didn’t just script everything. He lives, or at the time lived, down here

Plus one. Except the drunk bit. Twice or three times in my life I think.

Shine on you crazy diamond for me.

Stick around Raveneyes - trust me everyone here has lousy taste in music according to everyone else.

Cheers.

Did initially (human nature), but nobody knew it was my nom(s) so it can't be personal.

Just don't think my music tastes fits here.
I've thought that mine doesn't exactly fit here either. I haven't been here that long so have been able to keep a tally of what I vote for, and what position I end up/number of votes and billies etc.

I've had some very low finishes with songs that I love, as you can see (highlighted position in yellow!!). But in the same token, reached some highs too. It really can depend on the theme and what other songs have been nommed. I agree with what others have said about nomming with #integrity and it can be great fun discovering new songs and artists. I've been surprised at what music I've discovered and enjoyed :) I really do hope you stick around Raveneyes. Please don't be put off by the melts (it happens every round). And no it's not a crime to share what you nommed, just we don't normally (people like to guess though; MWPP and I always guess each other's, mainly after we've already voted).

We need more people with different tastes that are outside the mould so I would hate to see you go so soon.
