Also William Wonka , the concept will work well if you maintain or exceed your vote average
I hope you do
But even if you don’t - it’s the thought that counts
I think it will achieve three things.
1. Ensures that the host never wins their own round.
2. Levels the playing field for regular SC participants with slightly different tastes.
3. Discourages people from bote whoring.

Playing field is already level. Everyone gets to nom whatever song they choose that fits the theme. Flogs who nom just to garner votes and those who nom to share music for the sake of sharing music. The "field" isn't about winning.
Nom sent.

I bought this Limp Bizkit song as a single, didn't like the rest of their songs enough to buy the whole album.

UPDATE.
Around 20 noms accepted at this point.
I will be accepting more throughout today, hopefully for a release late tonight, but possibly tomorrow if I feel like it.
Also when I feel that we have reached a goodly number I may close nominations early (although I may accept late entries if I feel sufficient grovelling is involved).

I feel that this contest is a touch insular and many fine contestants who add flavour and interest to every playlist miss out on the joys of hosting simply because of their musical integrity and slightly different taste.
Therefore I will be instituting a revolutionary new concept into this round that I encourage others to follow my lead in future.
This will be called THE 'HOSTS CHOICE' .
How this works is all votes that the hosts nomination receives will be credited to a contestant of their choice (must be someone who plays week in week out but due to their musical integrity rarely or never gets to host)
For instance, this round all my nominations botes will be tallied to General Soreness .

That is all.
That sounds like the last two GFs where the umpires gave a leg up to the two teams with long premiership droughts.

Agree to an extent.
The issue Im addressing is that there are those who share different and interesting music round after round but miss out on the opportunity to host (what would probably be an interesting and different round) simply because their tastes are not mainstream.
As contestants come and go its hard to just rotate hosting so doing it this way keeps the competition a competition but makes it more even.
Honestly would you prefer to have Loonerty begrudgingly host two rounds in a row and do a disinterested redux or have it hosted by someone like MWPP for instance, who will give us something novel and enjoy doing so?

I actually hope saints win a Flag soon.
Well it won't be this year, we're looking like a bottom 4 team at the moment. #eco

I can't wait for General Soreness to give us some obscure theme like Finnish Death Metal or MWPP to give us a Bollywood theme, they will go down well.

In that case, you'd be better off advocating for pre-set rotational hosting. That way you'd eliminate people nomming whores just to win, everyone would get to host an even number of times, and anyone who didn't want to or couldn't host would just be skipped down to the next person on the list, and more importantly, people wouldn't be wasting their vote on a nom that isn't going to get any votes.

A communist song contest where everyone gets given the same amount of votes.
