One of the best playlists we've had in my time here. Probably the best!
Scrapping ace tracks from votes because of theme fit feels rough though.

I'm over half-way and I've got 4 billies and 6 shortlists, 2 were 'maybes' (just in case I didn't get many shortlists :p) so they're gonna be culled.

So yeah it's not AS bad as I thought.

And this is the dilemma

Is a song terrible because it's experimental or is it shit because it's shit
Songs can be both experimental and shit, banging weird instruments and screeching like Yoko Ono could be called experimental but could also be called shit.

I'm supremely disappointed in myself for only NOW thinking I should have nommed a David Bowie song...
And I call myself a fan -_-
I thought about nomming one of his songs from his experimental phase in the 70s but thought that would be a bit too whorish.

Kinda the same here. Even that website listed albums by mainstream/well known artists as experimental, it felt like it was going against the spirit of the theme to nom them.

Haha, just rolled a scoob. Good times.
I planned on immersing myself in the playlist in the same way when I got home late last night, but two new records came the other day, and I don't trust some of the campaigners here enough to give this contest priority over those yet. Always the weekend, though.

In saying that, looks a pretty good playlist.

JoshWoodenSpoon, here's a new album you might enjoy:

Anyone that enjoys jazz fusion should also check out the two new Ill Considered albums:

Couple of beauties from Melbourne artists. Seagull's been around since the mid-2000s and stands with Ned Collette as one of the country's most underrated folk artists:

And these guys couldn't be anymore Devo-influenced if they tried, but they're a lot of fun:

I only just thought of nomming this:

It freaked me out when I was watching Skins as a teenager. I was new to the green and took it a little too far, Sid's dad had just killed himself and it all hit him in a nightclub where this band was playing.

Shit got too real.

The GOAT INXS song.

INXS flew to Bali on Jetstar in 1983 and Hutchence was inspired to pen this song on the back of a waitresses arse.

True story.
