Yes, as someone who is a similar age, I know that JJJ is aimed more at the (very) youthful. Although it's hard to say if their demographic has changed much, do the youth who would have listened to JJJ in the past prefer PBS/RRR, these days has JJJ become too "mainstream"? I dunno, it's all beginning to sound the same to me lol. As long as people are enjoying themselves.
I'm in Adelaide and have never heard of those channels you mentioned. Apparently Double J plays a lot of cool stuff from the past which would please us 'oldies' :p however it's only a digital radio.

I doubt people will be talking about this in 50 year's time.

50 years ago, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix and CCR performed. In 2019, the likes of Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Akon (WTF, he's still a thing?!), Greta Van Zeppelin and The Lumineers are there. That's just sad.

Yeah I've never really listened to Double J much but apparently it is pretty good. Whilst it is known for playing slightly more older music, I think it also covers new things, but just stuff with a but more maturity and depth. Still JJJ themed, just with less of a trend concious.

Double J plays a lot of good newer stuff too that gets passed over on the main channel for unknown reasons.
