I think the difference was that this is a new account that's (now) actively posting whereas Dubs played behind the scenes with his account banned. Interesting point though that may need some clarification (MrsEddieBetts?)

If so, I'd have thought that the mods were capable of policing that themselves. If people are desperate to join the hunt, they're free to use the report button, rather than trying to turn the Contest thread into a detective drama.

And will you be adding some clarifications about round structure to the OP or will we have to go through this all again the next time a host does something out of the ordinary?

I've added a rule that you only nom one song. So no more double rounds to be consistent. Will you move on now?

At the end of the day I think we play this contest for fun and quite clearly there were plenty of people who didn't enjoy the idea of Nathan's theme.

Being that it was also a large deviation from a typical round, it's not unreasonable to say that the idea gets scrapped in favour of a more traditional theme in the aim of keeping the contest fun.
