"My friend's got a girlfriend and he hates that bitch, he tells me every day." - Opening line with no musical intro to 'Why Don't You Get A Job?' by the Offspring from 1999. It couldn't be more direct than that.

The female narrator of the 1995 song 'You Oughta Know' by Alanis Morrissette seems to be a young woman who believes in getting directly to the point, and the song immediately starts with her saying 'I want you to know ...' with no musical intro. There's plenty of song characters I wouldn't want to meet in real life, and the chick from this song is high on the list. And I sure wouldn't want to be the ex boyfriend she directs the song towards. Angry girl. Such an angry girl.
