You know those songs where say you're at a party/club/carpark/whatever and htey come on and you just get pumped and start reminiscing?

An example, if I'm at a club or something and any of the old g funk stuff comes on, I will literally stop whatever I'm doing to go dance.

The types of songs I'm thinking of... say Snoop - What's My NAme...

As soon as I hear that bass at the start:

BA DUM BA DUM BA DUM BA DUM

Ayyyyyayyyayayyayayayayaa yayayyaaaaaaaaa

I'llbe bouncing all over the joint. Can't help it, it's like that song speaks directly to me....

Anyone know what I mean? i think Hiphop songs are more susceptible to this...

DJ Kool - Let Me Clear My Throat
The Roots - The Seed 2.0
Nelly - Ride Wit Me
Fatman Scoop - Be Faithful

When I hear these in a club my body just starts movin uncontrollably.

Lately I love it when What'd I Say by Ray Charles gets played.

I have to agree with that, from my experience its more of the "lighter" Hip-Hop (MC Hammer, Young MC, Tone Loc, Tag Team, 2 In A Room, The Outthere Brothers, Fresh Prince type stuff)

I know for me and a few mates "Waiting on a friend" by the stones always gets us thinking and going. Probably not into party mode but it certainly brings back some memories and the strange thing is that when I heare it I know that if 4 or 5 of my other mates are hearing it at the same time we are thinking the same thing.

Bon Jovi's 'Livin on a Prayer' usually gets people going, or is that just me?
No it's not just you... trust me. You go to a club where people are drunk and everyoen is arms in arms screaming at the top of their lungs

Farnham does the same thing I reckon

For me, definetly agree with Hip Hop

Snoop - What's My Name
Da Brat /f JD & Big - Da B Side
Fresh Prince - Boom Boom
Young MC - Bust A Move
etc etc

Also notice it's more old school hip hop?

Damn. I thought it was lose the plot in a BAD way.

Everytime I heard Pash by Kate Cebrano when it was released in the late 90's (because god knows it hasn't been played since) the music made me ill. Once I had been drinking heavily and it came on and I spewed. Farcical.
