Naughton would be an AA quality CHB, I can’t understand why he isn’t put there especially with the quality talks they have up forward

More confounding when they play Lobb down back instead, who is an absolute liability in 1:1 defending. If I was bevo I’d absolutely play Darcy and Lobb up forward, no team have more than 1 200cm defender.

WA had Hogan, Georgiades, Naughton, Waterman, Jackson, Cameron, English, Barrass, Taylor. That's nine. Victoria had 8 of the same ilk. I don't think WA needed to go with 10.

Pretty slim pickings out there with a few injuries, but there would have been someone better suited than Lobb (e.g. Chapman, McVee, Yeo, Kelly, Johnson, Erasmus). Those guys don't really stack up against the Big V (and you'd have to ignore Yeo's lack of recent game time), but Lobb didn't stack up either.

Lobb did not play forward. He hss played in the back line for the last two seasons.

Gee, what a surprise from the Vic centric knobhead. The guy has 3 straight years in the AA team and being at the pointy end of the Brownlow/AFLCA, and Lyon didn't know how good he was?

Just exposes the lack of interest outside of Victoria from most of the AFL

You might be a bit sensitive here Alfonz...
Lyon already selected him in his best of the best Vic's... and then said he was (even) better than he thought...as in "unbelievably" good!
Caleb keeps surprising me too.
