All the talk about Stephen Silvagni being the new assistant has got me thinking. Definent future coach of carlton but on the playing side of things he was my absolute hero, i did and continue modelling my game on his but the question i pose to you, should he have spent more time at FF (kicked bags occasionally, H.S 10 V Richmond)

J3 who cares really, doesnt matter now. SOS was also a player that I admired a heap as well however I am getting tired of hearing him being associated with every other club. Why doesnt he do what Ratten has done and come back to the club when we need all the assistance we can get?

To be honest, I think Ratten will be the next senior coach of Carlton. Better skills and has more cred within AFL circles.

I agree, Ratten seems a better option from what I have seen to date. SOS would be a great addition to the coaching team but I would like to see him assist us know, not just jump on board once everything is looking sweet!

Yes!!! Absolutely loved SOS when he played. Only saw him a couple of games at FF, at my age back then it was more of a novelty thing, like Glen Manton in 1999 PM.

I really dont mind SOS going to othe clubs...especially winning clubs. It means he will gain experience in how to win, and more importantly how to beat those winning sides. As long as SOS is back in time to coach the Sons of Son of Serge (or his own children) i will be happy.

really doubt whether sos will ever be a successful senior coach at afl level. his media work leaves a fair bit to be desired and he doesn't come across has having great communcation skills.
