I wouldn't mind putting a little money on Judas Priest. They will be in Japan a couple of weeks before. They have been supposdly 'ruled out' but AJ is a crafty bugger and could pull a few big surprises here.

Anybody else hear any strong rumours before the announcement is made?

Not a huge band, but Alter Bridge will be playing Soundwave '12. I understand most of the bands from the aborted festival this year will play.

Have a sneaking suspicion Anthrax will be there too.

Announcement on Triple J at 3pm tomorrow.
Double edit: They're saying the announcement starts at 3pm, probably meaning they are going to give us the bands already announced and then wait until 10pm when AJ actually announces the rest.

There's a fairly wide spread dream of a Gojira and Devin sideshow.
As far as i know it's completely unsubstantiated, but god would that be good. Would save me a lot of money and having to put up with some average music

Wow. Now that is what I call an amazing line up. So many bands I will miss out on due to clashes.

Excellent they did not announce two bands at a time like they did last year. That was nonsense. Way better just to get 62 bands straight off the bat.
