Not really excited by 2nd announcement but going anyway.

Seems to sway more towards kiddy/emo metal every year. But still worth it to see Gojira, Meshuggah, SOAD, Kvelertak, Machine Head, Mastodon, and a few others. Should be a good day.
 
Only one that interests me in the second announcement is Shadows Fall and Cathedral. Kittie lol.

Bought my ticket today. Thank **** Courtney Loves filthy twat isnt gonna be there.

Definitely not alone there- love Cathedral, one of my favourite bands. Would be one of the best bands I've seen live too (Carnival Bizarre tour - showing my age a bit :eek:).

Can I try also? Please add Anathema or Manowar to the line up too. :p Thanks, tima :thumbsu:

To be honest I think there are less kiddy/emo metal bands this year than in the last couple. Good thing about Soundwave though is that it really doesn't matter, as generally the stages are far enough apart you hardly notice.

Also, I agree with all your band choices - should be an excellent day!
 
Looks like eastern states are close to selling out, Melb today or tomorrow (2600 tickets left this morning, Bris on the weekend and Syd sometime next week (9000 tickets left this morning).

Anybody else see the Ch V's 90 minute special Soundwave 2012 last night? Added The Used, Lost Prophets, A day to remember and Enter Shikari to my list of probables. This time around while I'm looking forward to seeing the headliners, the main reason I'm going is for the bands below the top 4.

My list of possibles sits at 26 at the moment.

Yeah it's the Welsh version, the Soundwave promoter doesn't like the American CrabCore band.

I'm hoping for a Marilyn Manson sideshow in Melbourne like Rob Zombie had this year with Wednesday 13 for support so I can kill some clashes.

Also there's a 3rd announcement coming in November/December with bands who couldn't be confirmed for this announcement, I know 2 of them are Danzig (will only play if he gets the spot he wants on the timetable) and Falling In Reverse if the lead singer can get his Visa. The other 3 bands will be any of In Flames, Sleeping With Sirens, SUM 41, Further Seems Forever, The Wonder Years, Shai Hulud, Fireworks or Billy Talent.

I will repost if it comes up again. Headbangers Ball on Tues nights usually has a Soundwave specials as we get closer to the event too.

Holy shit, thank you very much for introducing me to Turisas! Love their sound, makes me somewhat regret not having a soundwave ticket. Hoping they do sideshows.
