Went to bed when Amla burnt Kallis in that run-out. Regretting it now. Caught the highlights this morning, amazing collapse. Would have been great to see it without knowing it was coming.

Pretty flat pitch too. Good to see CSA take a match to a smaller cricketing centre.

Haha - lay off Tahir. I love the guy and his enthusiasm.

had to do a double take when i read the scores this morning. bowled out for 43, and a 258 run loss? disgraceful, but amazing numbers nonetheless

Let's take a moment to celebrate the best ODI bat in the world, a man who will probably retire as an all-time great of ODI cricket. Good enough to open in an all-time World XI? I think he will be after the next World Cup.

Get used to it.

it makes you wonder how it took them so long to hand him a spot in the ODI team.

to be fair he doesn't exactly strike you as being particularly suited to one day cricket (though not necessarilly unsuited), but his performances over the last few years have been stunning.

that's what happens when you don't pay your players.
With all due respect, it's not like players aren't making decent money elsewhere these days. I know that doesn't justify the non payment of the players, but by the same token, you still have to have some pride in representing your country, your own performance, and in your teammates.

If they aren't happy about the money situation, go on strike, don't serve up shit like that.

Even though he just ran himself out, gotta love the way AB goes about his cricket. Smart cricketer, always alert to the match situation. Came in and upped the run-rate without too much risk, and now Saffers are in the box seat.

Dilshan needs to bring his field up here, otherwise they'll just nudge the singles around.

That was the one lol, if Malinga held on to that, would have made things interesting. Would've been hat-trick ball to Peterson :D.

100% agree about ABDV. The captaincy, I think, will only make him a better player in both important forms of the game. Such a classy player and it already looks as if he's a natural leader. It would be fantastic if he could take the gloves full-time as well.

Thisara Perara is a true hard-hitting bowler with 65 not out off 44 balls, 2 fours and 5 sixes! I bet he will be a true all-rounder ready to bat if needed to save Sri Lanka against opponents and lead them to victory with his bat.
