Marshall was a first rounder and has played plenty of good footy for port, I doubt anyone has had as tough as a journey to play AFL.

Himmelberg has shown promise, what I don't understand is hately has hardly played at the crows yet played good footy at gws. Why is he behind crouch, why wasn't crouch traded?

Injured all of last year. He'll be back in soon.

Well getting stripped of our 2012 and 2013 first and second round picks didn't help when compared to a Victorian team doping an entire squad and only getting stripped of one year's worth of picks, and getting pick one as a reward a year later.

If sanctions were fair the crows would likely have Cripps on its list right now.

Have 2 x 1st rounders ready in 5 years time and we’ll see what we can do for you …

there are no other teams worthy
Or remove Crows and Port Power and bring in Norwood and the real Port Adelaide Magpies that were denied entry by other SANFL clubs in 1990.

Not the worst idea.
Maybe glenelg instead of Sturt.
When the Crows joined Sturt were struggling to just stay in the SANFL and were about to embark on a truly epic few years of rubbish football, I don't remember our name even being mentioned at the time.

For the millionth time, Adelaide volunteered their own penalties for Tippett. But hey, just ignore that and blame the AFL for the punishment that the club volunteered for.

Port are fine, they've been smacked with injuries and just need a new coach.

Adelaide are still rebuilding after their run in 2017. Will play finals in another year or two.

Port had home Prelim finals the last 2 years and were on track to beat a top 4 team away in Round 1 before injuries hit.

So in other words this thread is "Port have had 1 bad loss so football in the entire state is in trouble?"

Far out, the Queensland teams looked so much worse for longer and the WA teams may end up with less premiership points that the SA team this year.

This is quite the overreaction.

With both Crows and Power being rubbish this year is it time for an enquiry into South Australian Football?

It's been 18 years since a South Australian side won the premiership so I think questions may have to be asked soon about where the Crows and Power are at?
Nah, no need. Crows were the best team in 2017 until they fell about four weeks short of a flag. Port have screwed up a number of Prelims. You need equal doses of quality and luck to jag a flag.

One week. To be specific, they fell short in the week where the AFL deems that the preceding 25 weeks count for nothing, and despite finishing top of the ladder they had to go play the match that decides the outcome of the entire season at their opposition’s home ground.

The ground Richmond had barely left for two month’s prior.

In fairness, I think Richmond had overtaken Adelaide somewhere between two weeks before and two weeks after the start of finals, we just didn't recognise it for what it was at the time.
