Well yeah, it was great - Excellent day with the 36ers winning too...

Yep, we're in the 5, which is sensational.

I think we needed to win by 10 goals or more, to get our percentage back into the positive, and we did which is excellent.

YAY... let's hope the Crows can win tomorrow - can't remember the last time I got a double win :p

That was BAD.

Glenelg played so badly, it might as well have not turned up.

The Bays' efforts in the last 2 weeks had been fairly good, IMO. A gutsy, hard-fought win over the Blues, and a (mostly) 4-quarter effort up at Alberton. It looked like the Tigers were going to play with a bit of committment this year.

But not today. I can describe today's effort only as soft, pathetic, weak. In fact I wouldn't even describe it as an effort. Glenelg was that bad.

Noarlunga is the biggest oval in the league, IIRC. So how the hell were the Panthers able to run the ball the entire length of the ground without a single Glenelg player getting anywhere near the ball, time and time again?

The Bays desperately need someone up forward who can mark the ball and kick a goal. Just like last week they were breaking down completely at the full forward line. The South defenders could gather possessions with consummate ease and waltz the ball up to the other end of that vast paddock because no Bays players were marking their men. Picking up your opponent is the most fundamental of defensive football skills - and not one of the Tigers showed any ability to execute it.

It's hard to say how good South was - only because they didn't have a quality opponent with which to measure them by. The Panthers were certainly completely committed after half time, and their skill level has certainly improved. When was the last time South kicked 23 goals in a match - and kicked for goal with an accuracy as high as 70%? I'd like to say that South has turned the corner, and can lay claim to a finals berth - but like I say, it's hard to say just how good South played when their opponents were as weak as dishwater.

The Bay players should feel ashamed for today's effort. It was a disgrace to the guernsey. A match played in honour of 2 of the game's former greats deserves a far better effort than that.

Bah. Enough of my venting. Enjoy the win, South fans. I tip my hat to your club.

Next week sees Glenelg host the reigning premier. It's hard to see them winning. I hope at least that they put a bloody proper effort in and don't lie back, close their eyes and think of Mother England like they did today.

You must have gotten home from the game after mummy picked you up and rang straight in to your computer to post this, you are tragic ! As I said before, now you do it then expect more from me

Easty you are the tragic. You shout your mouth off too early about Glenelgs fantastic recruits and how youll be a flag favourite this year...and how South are crap, and you post after EVERY south loss.
How does it feel to have it all thrown back in your face you dickhead??? I hope you like it...cos you realise i will be giving you shit about this for a very long time. You deserve that.
