I did say "judge us on this weeks game" so we are happy to be judged as shite. We have lost all respect. Not sure why we are overrated. It's only people on this site judging us pre season. Of our 5 recruits this year 2 have already played Reserves 1 has left so we have 2 additions. Not enough to improve.

Gear up for another big game Rhino, Doggies vs Dingoes @ the den.

Great news ( as we all knew anyway)
SFL Football operations portfolio recommended to the full SFL Board that the current rule that 1 club be promoted and 1 club be demoted within divisions remain in place. This recommendation was accepted by the SFL Board.

Therefore the status quo remains.
BUT
The concept of “2 up 2 down” will however be placed on the agenda for discussion and consultation with clubs in future seasons.

Tips for this week

St Kilda City x10G vs Heatherton Peanut Farm Reserve*Some big in's for both sides this week
Highett vs East Brighton x6G Turner Road Reserve* Highett are just starting to find there way in D1 and are getting better every week so might be a closer game than people think
Chelsea Heights x 11G vs Mordialloc Beazley Reserve* Mordy are not going well at the moment and we hope they can find a few more players to help them out
Dingley vs St Pauls x 5G Souter Oval* Good news from the SFL for the dingoes this week about only 1 up 1 down ,so that will keep them in D1 for another year
Cheltenham x2G vs Clayton Jack Barker Oval Game of the round * What a game this will be, two up and coming teams, this is already a mini final, and will show who is ready to set up to be a contender

I think everyone would have to agree, that the SFL standard has got better this year than last year. With 6 teams still a chance to take out the flag, the battle is very close, and will go down to who has the fittest list come finals time
What do you think?

Congratulations champ this is indeed a landmark victory for the people, similar to the female vote...and Mabo. Will there be a party to rival that of the 2011 Minor Premiersship to follow?

Ridiculous proposal got knocked on the head and any SFL official that thinks it will grow legs at some time in future is in Disneyland. Simple reason being that bureaucrats that are promoting this hair brained idea have never had to operate a club at the coal face. Clubs should be thankful to EB as that administration was at the forefront in opposition

Tips for this week

Highett will have a crack and the small ground might help but EB comfortably 80 points
StKilda City to belt Heatherton 70 points
Chelsea Heights way too good for a disappointing Mordialloc 50 points
Dingley have lost the plot and although missing players the St.Pauls depth will get them across the line easily 65 points
Cheltenham will enjoy the home ground advantage which might well be the difference against Clayton. The only close one for the round I'm tipping the Rosella's in a tight one 10 points

I seriously doubt there would be a league unless East Brighton were in it!

What have they done again?

How are your injuries for this week CT? Any long term? Any chance it will bring the dingoes into contention?

Without giving too much away, this would be their best chance they have ever had against the Doggies, but we still have depth so will be a good game.

Not really any long term injuries just niggles which will be a few weeks here and there, i twinged the string last night on track which no doubt has the dingoes breathing a sigh of relief. haha

At least we are getting the injuries out of the way early in the year as injuries come finals time is what can ruin a campaign (see Chelsea Heights 2011)

Highett v EB 8 Goals
StKilda City v Heatherton 10 Goals
Chelsea Heights v Mordialloc 10 points
Dingley v St.Pauls 10 Goals
Cheltenham v Clayton 3 Goals

Because of the weather, I don't think the floggings will be as big as they could be.

I'm not quite sure what the AFL team I support has anything to do with it? Also not quite sure what other useless comments you're referring to, although I suppose most of the dribble we post on here doesn't really have a use. Would you feel better if I took your approach and issued a barrage of self-appreciation posts?

Your club has been quite vocal in condemning STKC in recent times for spending up, being arrogant and disrespectful, but your club has quickly taken that mantle away from them. Glass houses buddy, at least they won flags.

Anyway back to footy, perfect weather for an upset this week. I'm tipping one of the top four will get rolled.

Highett v EB 8 Goals -good win by highett last week but EB too strong
StKilda City v Heatherton 12 Goals - city pretty easy with the tunners coming off a couple of beltings
Chelsea Heights v Mordialloc 5 goals - heights class to stand up mordi to battle relegation
Dingley v St.Pauls 5 Goals - dingoes season on the slide with another loss
Cheltenham v Clayton 2 Goals - clays a bit harder in the wet to steal a win

good luck to all sides

Dingly beat st. Pauls? Who were stpauls missing

I see Heath didnt play so that makes a massive difference, but I think The Dingoes without Lee Wonnacott and some others deserve a bit of credit. The last 2 weeks have been ordinary but we may be back on track.

Well done boys!

A fair few missing but credit to Dingley as you can only beat who is put in front of you.

Fair to say once again umpiring was pretty average going both ways, hadn't seen these 2 before and hope it's the last time see them also.

Tips for June 2nd
Mordialloc vs Dingley x5G Ben Kavanagh Reserve*
East Brighton x4G vs Chelsea Heights Hurlingham Reserve*
St Pauls x2G vs Clayton McKinnon Reserve*
St Kilda City vs Cheltenham x 4G Peanut Farm Reserve*
Heatherton vs Highett x1G Ross Street Reserve*

Geez you wouldn't be making money punting on Dingley! How in the hell can a side get smashed by Cheltenham, embarrassed by Clayton and come out and knock off last years premiers? Certainly unexpected and a big scalp! Maybe the Doggies took them lightly but absolutely mind boggling. There should also be a call to the SFL regarding flying in players for 1 week. It flies in the face of fairness and can't do a lot for players that have committed for the year. CH did it with Travis Johnston and City last week with Poyas and Taisyian. Not sure it's in the spirit of the game and after all they may be good footballers but they won't pull a Yarrawonga Pidgeons type crowd like Fev and he has at least committed to play all the home games for the season

Travis Johnstone was in Melbourne already and genuinely wanted a chance to play a game with a couple mates and at the club.

Having said that, I agree that if you're playing for another club in another state, you shouldn't be allowed to fly in/out more than maybe for a once off as a fundraiser.
