Pretty good win by the Mounters. Mount's coach obviously inspired it with his "let the cat amongst the pigeons" quarter time speech, which was Vince Lombardi-esque. Actually changed my mind pretty early and decided to go for Mount. Enemy's "turncoat" criticism really hit home during the week. :D

Number 10 played well for the Mounters, even tough he looked about twelve. Thought the Skye boys giving it to him all day were pretty funny, or at least funnier than some of those old Mount blokes thought they were. Ominous win considering Kirkup was on the pine. Hopefully the week off does him good and he gets on the park for the Granny. I think to give the other side a chance in the final, Mount should bring back Big Pete to ruck. His form line has been solid. Dropped from the Reserves one week, Seniors the next, dropped from both the next. Must have had a really good week of training in there...

Was good to meet SMUU and Jooce and 30 metre handpass and a few others. Missed MadMan, might say hi at the Granny. Good day for watching "local" footy, despite having to drive forever to get there. Ended up a little bit pissed by the end. :thumbsu:

I'd doubt it. He's gone off BigFooty ever since it got him suspended for 6 weeks.

mate i don't think its since he got suspended more like since he got a job and found something productive to do with his time like counting golf balls & trying to stop his mates from getting kicked out of the elephant and wheelbarrow for pissing in the hand basin

He aint with us this i am sure off!!

I am personally barracking for Mount!! I think it will be them and Black rock in the grand final which will be dissapointing for Cantebury who have been great all year, except for that minor slip up against cerberus away, I still dont know how that happened?????

Canterbury only played half their normal side didn't they? And it was some holiday weekend so the doggies had a whole heap of extra players or something.

Black Rock will smash the cobras this week, 8 goals. Baker out for sure, and probably Beardall too.

I reckon MW winning the granny would be the best thing for the comp. They are clearly the most appropriate team to go up. Our boys are too old, probably gonna retire, and we would suck up a storm in div 2 next year, whereas MW would love the bigger grounds and extra pace that div 2 will bring them.

That said, commiserations to MW now, they have had a good year, and hopefully they can win it next year. Also bad luck to Canterbury, injuries at the wrong time of the year was your downfall. Hopefully your paid guys can stick around for another year so you can have another crack, but we all know that won't happen. Canterbury to finish outside the 4 next year.

You're a tool Enemy. Anyone who has seen the two div 3 finals thus far and thinks Canterbury stand a chance must be slightly ******ed. Why don't you just fess up and tell us who you really are, the yarra boys obviously know already and I'm fairly certain you are affiliated with MW in some way shape or form. Trainer maybe? Deputy assistant coach? Stop hiding already.

Paid guys?

Cant: Danny Pearce, Josh Tate, Tsetsenekos, maybe Baker.
MW: Mennan, Wilkin (maybe not paid, but free subs or something maybe)
BR: Ando, Wilmott
Doveton: Thomas, Colbert
Dandy: Black, Westin, Coates
Skye: Stephens, McCarthy, Mussared, Kalviskis
Sandown: Kreskas, Sheedy, Love

Some of those may or may not be coach/assistant coach roles. The fact remains that they play and are paid in the club in some way. All speculation though, probably got some wrong. I know the Skye boys will be quick to tell me that Corey isn't being paid. Whatever chumps.

There is a rumor that you're from mount yourself benchy, so how about you stop pretending yourself.

Good luck to both teams tomorrow, I'm off to watch Belgrave get smashed and hopefully McArthur gets knocked out early. I bet Handfield is spewing he went back to Parkmore now.

I hardly thought BR were overly convincing against Doveton. Plus if you are basing your predictions on previous results then Canterbury would be a shoe in. The current standings this year are 2 - nil between these 2 clubs.
Baker is clearly a huge loss, however he only kicked 1 goal in their last win against BR. His absence puts alot of pressure on Johnstone to kick most of Canterbury's goals, along with Pearce to push down from the midfield and chip in with a few.
Considering its supposed to be wet on saturday (though I don't think it will be if history is anything to go by) i don't see this game being very high scoring. Around about the 10 goal range.

It's hard to know who the big grounds going to suit. Possible Canterbury with some smaller/quicker bodies. But like benchman said this game will be won in the midfeild. I'm leaning towards Canterbury who will have clear dominace in the ruck and therefore should be able to win the clearances.

Canterbury by less than a kick.

Mennan, Yes (Assistant Coach).
Wilkin, No
Don't pay anyone for playing at Mount, not sure about other clubs aside from coaching staff.
