Pretty sure we're gonna have 3 teams for 2008. We've spoken to the league about it, and they have agreed to it as far as i know. Not sure whats gonna happen with the fixture and that. I guess we'll find out early next year.
Its not Juniors!!! What you gonna have Mt Waverly Gold and Mt Waverly Green!! If this is allowed, the league will be a laughing stock in Victoria. Oh Wait they already are what they do in Div 3!

Bloody hell Baz, Im definatly doing Pre Season Now.
I was told the boys were using the balls last week and training was pretty solid! And I was also informed another 8 20 year olds trained and look good. All mates from last years group. As well as troy Humpries (2 time B&F winner), Scott Lovell, Steve Tobin and ex coach Al Campbell donning on the boots, the club is going in the right direction. Might have to get down to watch.
Who is leaving. Daryl told me he going back to MPFL. Is that it??
yeah champ you are right. yeah we used to balls last week and it was pretty gud. we have got heaps of mates comming down who used to play juniors with me and a few of my mates, yeah at least eight even more if i can work on it. atm all i heard leaving from the senior group is daryl thomas and maybe brett colbert. but with at least 10 new players already things r looking gud as long with the 4 u just mentioned comming back.

Question to Giddo.

Is it true, that on the first night of this pre season training, you made the following statement to the players,

"Because I'm so fat, I wont ask you to do anything I cant do myself so, I promise I wont run you guys into the ground this year"

Made a good impression on the young kids. Looks like Doveton's the place to go if you're a lazy trainer....
haha who are u ya clown. if u wana talk crap y didint u get ya ass to training on wednesday when we had nearly thirty people there training with the balls and doing running for nearly 2 hours. yeah thats pretty lazy. how would u know what made a good impression on us yound kids u hero. if u wana talk crap come down to power reserve wednesday and reveal yourself. im sure of plenty of poeple wana meet u :)

The major question is will the scum down at Sth Yarra have a decent ground, with decent facilites!! If not, they should be kicked out or play each game away!!
So the South Yarra's are scum buddy? i differ to agree to that comment as for grounds its a waiting game as to see which councils allocates which grounds my tip is TH King or Stradbroke Park.

Actually, i dont know you but, i do know a coach or 10 that has coached the Eagles over the past 15yrs who would fall of their stool if they heard what you said at training.
You should be embarrased.
And, recruiting the Dandy Demons coach to take training for you is even more reason to hang your head.

you must be a top bloke wanting teams to fold because the only ground that could get last year was probably not up to scratch at least we made it back.you seem to know some comings and goings of all clubs but who f**k do you play for??? just another troll who gets to use the public library every now and again:thumbsdown:

It's like an initiation thing at Doveton. The new boys come down and Mayo smacks them around a bit to show 'em how to do it on the weekend. Rossburgh used to do the same for the Cobras too. :D

You are obviously a supporter, or player down at the Eagles to know they have had 10 coaches in 15 years!

No not a troll, just a loney bloke who loves footy! No body wants Sth yarra to fold... Again... just would be nice to have decent facilites for once! Last Years ground was a discrace (although social Rooms good), and while their previous ground was in ok condition, again the facilites were below par. (change rooms, social rooms ). Lets hope those incharge can gain something good for the club...And its opponents

Was looking through the reports from last year and I think Sth yarra had more reports than the Eagles... Actually more than most of the teams in Div 3!

I think that Stevie Wright would bea starter in their forwardline before Van ness, Gorman and Davis
look, your right, we'd probably throw stevie in their and let davo run in the ruck or around half back. don't underestimate gorman or van ness though. both capable of turning it on.

Watching last year, Van-Ness looks wasted deep in the forwardline and Gorman needs his head screwed on right! Can win them a game or lose them 1

gorman will win more games for the team than he will lose. needs to think a bit more about the team than about himself though. a full year in the one's and he will kick 50+.

How many for striking? Or charging? Can't remember a suspension for violent conduct, just backchatting umpires. You've got the stats handy, feel free to correct me. Even so, stats only tell half the story. That number 45 from Doveton's Ressies should have got about 10 weeks on 5 different charges last time we played them, if he's the one that broke his hand it's all he deserved. As for the rooms, our Committee's doing everything they can and if they made the decisons everything would be sweet. It's not even the league really, it's the local councils.
