Hobart has recruited well in the offseason, didn't win a game last season and now they've won like 3 in a row. Brighton gave it up to a highly fancied New Norfolk, What's happened to Claremont?

Yes Hobart was near to death by the end of last season, the turnaround in the club has been enormous, and much needed.
Hobart hasn't won a finals match since 2006 and only played in one final since 2008.
Claremont were good against Hobart, very competitive, I think Cygnet look very powerful especially with Josh Fox (son of Wayne Fox) kicking 12 on Saturday and 8 the week before.
Sorell outplayed Hobart in the second half yesterday, Hobart got 83 points up and looked like racking a cricket score but Sorell had a real crack and fought the game out.

Yesterday's matches saw New Norfolk remain on top after a hard-fought battle against Hobart at the TCA Ground.
The Eagles had the Tigers measure for much of the first two and a half quarters, with Hobart battling to stay in the contest.
After trailing by almost five goals, Hobart got a run on in the third quarter and if it wasn't for wasteful kicking in front of goal would've run all over the Eagles.
Hobart ended up hitting the front in the early moments of the final quarter but New Norfolk responded with five quick goals to put the issue beyond doubt, Hobart kept attacking but couldn't convert up forward and were unable to bridge the gap, going down by 18 points.
Hobart playing coach Alex Gilmour finished with five while Josh Clifford and Bryan Chapman both finished with three for the visitors.
The Eagles having all the answers in a good contest.

At Cygnet the inform locals hosted the equally inform Huonville Lions in the Huon Valley Derby match in front of a big crowd.
The Lions stamped their authority on the game early in a great team effort and eventually went on to win by 21 points.
Cygnet's full forward Josh Fox, son of Wayne, had booted 23 goals in three games leading into the match but was only able to finish with two.
Callum Rawson booted three while the Lions power forward Mick Paul only finished with one in a very even display by Huonville who would arguably be flag favourites currently.
Brighton upset Dodges Ferry at a wet Shark Park by 27 points.
The Sharks, hit by injuries and suspensions have only won one game all season after finishing minor premiers last year.
The Robins produced some great football to run away from Dodges in the final quarter and give themselves hope of keeping in touch with the five in a big contest against the injury depleted Hobart next week.
Alex Blair booted five goals for Brighton to be the difference between the two sides.
Reigning premier Lindisfarne thrashed a disappointing Sorell at Anzac Park by 80 points to get themselves back into the top five after an indifferent start to the season.
Michael Blackburn finished with seven goals for the Two Blues. The margin of 80 points would've been considerably greater if not for poor conversion up front.

Final Scores.
Huonville Lions 11.10 (76) d Cygnet 7.13 (55)
New Norfolk 14.15 (99) d Hobart 11.15 (81)
Brighton 13.9 (87) d Dodges Ferry 8 12 (60)
Lindisfarne 19.25 (139) d Sorell 9.5 (59)
Bye: Claremont.

Ladder: NN (16), HV (16), CY (12), HB (12), LF (8) | DF (8), BR (8), SO (0), CM (0).

Full results from today's round of SFL football in warm and windy conditions.
Huonville Lions got up in a thriller very late against Lindisfarne in the Duff TV game at Huonville.
The Lions with nine individual goalkickers.
At Pontville, Hobart were ten goals up early in the final quarter only to watch Brighton pile on the next eight with a strong breeze to the Highway end to hang on to a 19-point win and hold onto fourth place.
Alex Gilmour kicked seven for the Tigers.
Sorell celebrated their first win of the season with a resounding 63-point trouncing of winless Claremont at Pembroke Park.
At Boyer, Cygnet came from behind at the final change to run over the ladder leader New Norfolk with a seven goal to one final term and take a 32 point victory. Huonville now sit atop the table with Cygnet sitting second, New Norfolk drop to third while Hobart sit fourth, Lindisfarne blowing their chance at fourth spot with their last gasp loss and now sit fifth.
Dodges Ferry and Brighton still a narrow chance at playing finals.

No didn't hear anything. Mind you, they got towelled up by 121 points by Huonville at Abbotsfield today so something's amiss. Can't remember the last time the Mont got belted like that at home.

Round 7 of SFL action took place today with Huonville Lions remaining on top of the table with a comprehensive 121 point demolition of Claremont at Abbotsfield Park. The margin would've been far greater but for the Lions' booting 5.10 in the final quarter.
Ethan Brock starred with seven goals for Huonville.
Claremont coach Luke Potter, contrary to rumours appears to not have walked out on the Pies, he booted two goals.
Lindisfarne appear to be starting to find some ominous form towards the end of the roster matches at they cleared away after half time to trounce New Norfolk by 64-points in the Duff TV match of the day at Anzac Park.
Sam Adams, Michael Blackburn and playing coach Michael Cassidy all booted four for the Two Blues while Marcus Parker finished with five goals for the Eagles.
Two weeks ago New Norfolk were sitting on top of the ladder but after two bad defeats, they now sit fourth whilst the Two Blues remain in fifth spot, a game ahead of both Dodges Ferry and Brighton.
Hobart moved up into third spot with a 42 point victory over Dodges Ferry at the TCA Ground in a wind-marred encounter.
After a stalemate opening quarter, Hobart opened up the game with a 7.1 to 0.6 second quarter to the Smith Stand end. The Sharks trailed by over five goals midway through the third quarter but took advantage of a stiff breeze and some very poor umpiring decisions to get back to within 8 points of the Tigers, but that was as close as it would get as Hobart raced away with the wind again to win comfortably in the end.
Alex Gilmour booted four for the Tigers with 100-gamer Bryden Goninon booting three.
Riley Hooker, Ed Stanley and Tom Bennett all kicking two for the Sharks as their slim finals hopes faded even further.
Cygnet maintained second spot on the ladder as they shrugged off a tight first half with Brighton to run out 64 point winners at Cygnet.
Josh Fox finishing with eight goals for the Port, Joseph Direen kicked 4.
For the Robins, Baxter Lewis, Fergus Morrison and Brodie Johnstone all finished with two for Brighton.
The loss all but finishing off their finals chances in their return season to the competition.
