This was a great watch and certainly get a lump in the throat watching it.
How fortunate are we as Collingwood supporters, getting to watch this legends career evolve and getting to watch him go about his business every weekend of the AFL season over the years....🏆⚫⚪⚫⚪🏆🐐

I'm going to be really sad when Pendlebury retires. It will truly be the end of an era. He's the last player from the mid 2000s who played alongside the likes of Buckley, Burns, Licuria etc.

I was just a teenager when I saw him play his first game against Brisbane in 2006. Little did we know back then what a special player he would turn out to be.

It's been such a privilege to watch him play over the last two decades, so many memorable moments. I think my personal favourite has to be his last quarter in the 2023 grand final. That performance will go down in Collingwood folklore. I remember reading on this forum last year someone said that whilst Darcy Moore was the Captain that day, Pendlebury was the General.

I was so happy that Pendles became a dual premiership player last year. One flag wasn't enough for his amazing career. He is one of the greatest Collingwood players of all time, right up there with Buckley, Coventry, Rose etc.

We may never see another footballer like him play for Collingwood again.

Thanks for everything Pendles!

Football genius and force of nature

Wow!!! This is simply a brilliant and heart-felt summation of the incredible Pies players who I've had the joy (and despair) of following during my life time of being a Collingwood supporter. All I can say is "Thank you".

Cheers. Thanks so much

Wonder what the cheer squad will have on the banner this week?🧐

The banners have been on the small side recently, and thankfully since the IQ gaffe they’ve sorted out their spelling.

Think they might be due for a big one!

Need to have Emblrey on there surely

“Congrats Embles”

What a player we have had. What a privilege. So many outstanding games, although it’s difficult to trump what he did in the last quarter of 2023.

One of my favourite memories is a game against Carlton some years ago - which we won - when I sat next to an increasingly agitated Blues fan. He was obsessed with Pendles, but not in a good way. He just couldn’t understand why the Blues players ‘can’t lay a hand on him’ and ‘how he moves around while we stand still’! It was glorious.😍

Kudos also to the club on how they have handled this ‘Pendles’ week, including the respect shown to the other 400 players. In all the footage you can see the trouble we have gone to with their own imagery, guernseys, etc. Well done Pies.

Not sure there's been too many players throughout the game's history that garnered universal respect, admiration and often flat out love.

Pendles is definitely one of those players

No matter who I've spoken to in terms of opposition supporters they all have openly stated their love and respect for Pendles. Franklin is probably the other one that comes to mind.

Watching 399 of the best of Pendles on the club website. What a joy!
At the 4.58 mark, he changes direction in a split second (his glorious trademark move) with three GC players around him. One of those actually visibly screams in frustration!!!! :D
It's simply been an absolute privilege to watch the extraordinary career of this amazing Pie. 😍

That was Lukosious.
Funny thing is he gets him in other footage too.
Maybe that was the first one and the frustration came about from being "done" again.
Some of the players look dumbfounded as to how hey missed him 😂

My first memory of Pendles was when we read his name out on draft night, and I thought "Who TF is this guy? We need to sack that new head recruiter!"

And now 20 years later he is going for the world record in games played.
