Well it's pretty bloody prevalent around here that some people aren't welcome, to be honest. Everyone here supports the Suns and cares for its longevity and success. But apparently if you don't conform, you're labeled as something you're not.

An opinion is an opinion, whether people agree or not. Ridiculous.

Gaz is an important part of the Sun's team structure. To put this into perspective, the Hawks haven't won a single game without Jarryd Roughead this year. This isn't an indication that Clarkson must be a crap coach, just that removing an important link from a chain can undo a lot of game plans practised in the pre-season.

Roughy missed two games this year, one against the club they played in the GF last year, and one against a prelim club - both losses weren't by an overwhelming margin either. Not the best comparison, but I can see what you mean.

Similarly, I'd like to think that Bluey is an important part of the team's structure - he's been there since day 1 and has helped grow the players to what they are now. Lynch, Dixon, Jaeger, Dion, Martin, etc - the list goes on. They've all only been coached by the one man.

Bomber or nobody imo. Premiership coach, good with the media, proven leader, etc, etc.

Not keen on Bolton or anyone else, really. As plenty of others have said, it makes no sense at all to replace a coach that has only ever improved the side skill-wise and ladder-wise. IF Bluey does get replaced, it'll need to be by a PROVEN premiership winning coach or it's a waste of time. I think Bluey has what it takes, personally. If his speech to the board has convinced them that he's the man to take the Suns to their first premiership, then I agree.

Not being a drone or sheep here, but we'll never see or hear his spiel to the board, so I choose to support their decision - others may not, and I'm happy to listen to their opinions.

Imagine if Gaz didn't **** his shoulder and we finished fifth on the ladder. Or if Dixon, Smith, Nicholls, McKenzie, Martin, Matera, Russell, etc didn't injure themselves throughout the season. Would this whole thing have happened?
 
Preferably I want to stick w/ Bluey. Only other coaches I would entertain are those that have Senior coaching experience. In no particular order.
  • Scott waters from Subiaco/St Kilda could be one for me. He took a tough job with that list getting old and needing to rebuild and was a suprise axing last year.
  • Brett Ratten. Had reasonable success w/ Carlton but nothing great. Maybe a fresh start?
  • Mark Williams. Had a good run w/ Port, stint at GWS after the chop current an assistant at Richmond.
