New coach would need to sit down with Clayton and review the list, direction, combine, free agency, upcoming draft. Not head overseas.
Woosha's best mate is no longer the coach....
Then again I don't know what to believe anymore. Blighty might do a Grant Thomas and eliminate all other candidates and coach himself.

what happens if he get it?

He shall be judged on performance. SUNS have the ability to produce a top 6 team with Ablett firing and a finals team without GAJ based on last seasons list. A great coach could win a flag from here with GAJ on board. ROOS could. Clarko and Bolton could.

Bomber is and has always been a mediocre coach with a good list. IF he can repair the damage done with GAJ, swallows his choking pride, and GAJ stays on the field 75% of the time, we re top 4.

With a real coach, a young hungry lion, with new ideas and skills is appointed, we can go all the way. Brendon Bolton. And I be he wont haggle, fly away, play games, mumbe at press conferences. He was backed by the comps best coaching staff to lead the best team in the comp and won every game. Better judges than us qualify him as an elite coach. And no bullshit about him.

UPDATE
Garry Lyon has told Triple M’s Rush Hour that Mark Thompson could be announced as Gold Coast’s senior coach within days.

And the Lone Wolf believes ‘Bomber’ could take sacked Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson up to Metricon Stadium as an assistant.

Thompson of course coached Sanderson for six seasons at Geelong.

Gaz also said that if it got to a situation where the Bombers caretaker coach was offered both the Essendon and Gold Coast coaching gigs for 2015, Thompson would opt for the Suns.

Many have queried whether Thompson and Gold Coast skipper Gary Ablett could work together again after their falling out over the latter’s departure from Geelong in 2010.

But Gaz said that would not be a hurdle because the pair caught up at the Brownlow Medal count last week and are now ‘absolutely comfortable with each other’.

Hawthorn assistant Brendon Bolton is the only other candidate Gold Coast are considering, according to the Wolf.
