Burnsy has been at West Coast for years as an assistant before he came back to the piesDew, Bolton or Bassett for mine.
Not sure we'd go for Burns, who just started with the Pies. Don't know anything about Tudor.
In the end it will be their ability to communicate well with players as well as develop them properly that will be the main criteria IMO. Dew, Bolton and Bassett all fill those well.

Maybe GAJ is wielding quite a bit of influence in this process and Bomber is not his ideal choiceGerard Whately's information has him thinking that Bomber Thompson is not in the frame as the media has speculated. Free to apply like the others, but not the 'given' that was general consensus this time last week.
I'll come out and say it. I have no idea who Stewie Dew was. When I voted in the poll, I chose him because he was the only name I didn't know, and it sorta giggles out of my mouth. So thats why I voted.
If and When I am proven right, I want the record to show that for the rest of his coaching tenure I am will refer to him as Giggles. #honesty
I doubt he would personally get involved, but I'd say his manager would do everything for him until visiting the club eventuated, if it were to get to that. I still hold hopeI would be surprised if Mark Thompson applied and went through the 'process'.

I watched it too, it was a shocking performance, even Lynch and O'Meara were missing the simplest of shots.Just watched the Gold Coast-melbourne game on foxtel from earlier in the year were we won 11-20. To 11-12
Commentators were saying I've never seen a team so bad in front of goals.. Not hard shots under pressure either.. Just shanking everything...
Hope our new coach looks into this issue we have in front if goals and just clangers in general
Holding onto possession is what we need.
They did exactly that drill in the 2xu training camp vids last year, boston kicked the sealerI watched it too, it was a shocking performance, even Lynch and O'Meara were missing the simplest of shots.
I agree that skills training has to be a priority, I hope they follow the Hawthorn model of have them run sprints and them kick so they are fatigued and recreate game conditions
My biggest frustration is the constant handballing from players who have time and space to kick to players standing still or literally standing next to opposition players who then tackle them, it must be some kind of Bluey mantra because they constantly do it and it defies logic - more kicking and less handballI watched it too, it was a shocking performance, even Lynch and O'Meara were missing the simplest of shots.

Say again? I don't understand what you mean?My biggest frustration is the constant handballing from players who have time and space to kick to players standing still or literally standing next to opposition players who then tackle them, it must be some kind of Bluey mantra because they constantly do it and it defies logic - more kicking and less handball
A constant in The Suns play book is to look to handball when there is no need to. So much so that I feel it is the coaches edict to make them handball when they could kick in the open with time and space. To me there are so many times the guys cough up the ball from a play where they are not under direct pressure because they handball to a team mate who IS under pressure - Swallow and Harbrow are two who don't folow this pattern thoughSay again? I don't understand what you mean?
I still hear people saying he should've won the Norm Smith.Scary stuff. Was a very good player who quit too early after a flag at Port to accompany his then girlfriend Teresa Palmer to Hollywood.
Came back much fatter and played a key role in Hawthorns first (and unexpected) 2008 flag. Has good coaching experience, was a very good footballers footballer and is a great bloke.
True. It was Guy McKenna who mentioned that the club was looking for someone with premiership experience; it really is just hearsay at the moment.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the club has really said anything about finals experience being a requirment? It was just mentioned by bluey in his presser?
Makes me wonder if he 'let slip' what the board used as their excuse?True. It was Guy McKenna who mentioned that the club was looking for someone with premiership experience; it really is just hearsay at the moment.

HAWTHORN assistant coach Brendon Bolton will meet with Adelaide at midday on Sunday to make his final presentation to the board in a bid to secure the Crows' senior coaching role.

Absolutely. Likely what Bluey was told, but whatever he was told should be taken with a grain of salt.Makes me wonder if he 'let slip' what the board used as their excuse?
