He's got passion....but I get what you are saying...
Hocking lost it at a game. Provedhe hasn't the self control for a big gig.
The Suns lose Hinkley to Port
The Suns get Primus from Port
Then the Suns lose Hart to Port
Now the Suns are after Port's 2's coach
That article is a bit off the mark. Essendon more likely didn't sack Hird for legal / contractual reasons.im sure they aren't sitting on their hands. although Bomber seems to be. theres a good article on him today, all the more reason I doubt very much he will be our next coach. He does and says some weird shit.

There must be an interview at least announced soon. Its not just the paying members, fans that deserve it, but im sure potential and the players need to see some movement. and sponsors...

this is a duplicate post I posted a few minutes ago on the same subject..; also supported by this article. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-10-08/has-bomber-blown-itThat article is a bit off the mark. Essendon more likely didn't sack Hird for legal / contractual reasons.
1) the payout for ending his contract prematurely is probably a ridiculous amount of money
2) the precursor of threatening to sack a person if they take legal action (i.e. Hird's appeal, something Hird does have a legal right to do) could lead to more legal trouble than it's worth
I wouldn't worry too much, though. I am sure the Suns will pick the best person for the job. They're just keeping their cards close to their chest (as they should).
That would be a massive slip up IMO
I was mostly referring to this part of the article:
Thompson's actions meant that he relinquished the right to ever work again with Hird. That's what happens when you use a microphone to talk about coveting that person's job. And it also clearly confirmed what had been doing the rounds in the past two months - that Thompson was "off" Hird.
The next day, Thompson headed overseas on holiday and Essendon baulked at sacking Hird.
Maybe if Thompson hadn't spoken the way he did the night before, he would have been installed as Bombers coach.
Hird was likely to remain coach if Bomber had "spoken the way he did" or not. He was always their choice. It wasn't as if Essendon were planning for Bomber to take over and then suddenly back-flipped due to one speech. Journalists were just trying to build this up as a dramatic coup that never eventuated, that's all.
