Sure there will be those clinging to threads, but as all the pundits know...and have said since last night, he's gone, its over, he's there till early next season perhaps until xmas.

So who should we be chasing?

My favourite BRENDON BOLTON.

The board meeting was not just about Bluey haha.

I will try find out today, probably wont get much, but will see what exactly he had to say

Does anyone else think it's little crazy that the bloke who is doing the review of the football department actually runs the football department? What will the report say... The coach has to go, but
I'm doing a great job?

Makes me think Bluey is dead man walking and the Board lacked the balls to make the announcement.

To me it sounded merely like a formality with the intention to get rid of him. They haven't found a replacement coach yet so they're keeping Bluey there just in case they can't find one. Pretty low.

Exactly !!!
It should be done by the AFL or someone independent from the club.

Read the article from the club website. It says Ashcroft will oversee the review, this doesn't necessarily mean he will be conducting all of it. Basic rule of auditing is you are not allowed to audit your own work.
 
Essendon just got hit hard by the Federal Court. Surely there's no chance of Hird returning to the job next year, which would likely mean Thompson will stay on as Essendon head coach if he wants to. Bomber going off the market could give Guy a reprieve.

Doesn't mean he won't be conducting it!

What sort of a review will it be when the bloke overseeing the review looks after the department. It will be lip service and Bluey gonski...

Would have looked better getting an external person in to do review ...away from Choppers..for transparency
 
Ok. so Bluey is a shot duck, kickin in the water. He's still floating, still kicking ripples, might even utter a quack. But he's so full of bird shot, he is rising in value as scrap.

So as the loose feathers float away against the current, but with the breeze, there are sure to be other waterfowl looking to use his once preened proud feathers to line their nests. The body itself will go with the current, as floating weight mostly will.

Looking apon this event will be a coach. At what point will he take to the water? He isn't going to pick over Blueys carcass. He isn't going to horde Blueys once preened feathers. He's going to sit there and watch the current, the flow around the rocks, the way the breeze shifts the lighter objects and where they accumulate in clumps. Where the undercurrents are, the snags, the logs.

He will Watch where the water is slower, meaning depth, and for speed, where its shallow. Yes the longer Blueys body is in the water, the more a new coach will know about his new environment. He will watch who are the Wagtails, flitting in and out, chirping their interest but not getting involved. He will watch the Various magpies and the Crows swoop at the carcass to hasten its arrival at the shore for easier pickings.

Someone is watching already. Perhaps a few. They see all this....the smartest ones do. Time. There's time. This is a regular occurrence in Duck season. Hunters wait in their hide, they know when its time to move, when its time to act, when its time to hunt and leave the ambush. The goal is; how many Ducks can they get from what they are watching? 10% of the hunters get 90% of the Ducks. The other 90% of the hunters only get 10% of the Ducks.

The GC Duck is a special prize. Its not just about the amount of Ducks one gets for the gig, its the chance of some extremely successful seasons ahead. Getting the GC Duck could make an average to good hunter, into a duck hunting legend after a few seasons. Not because the hunter was so good, but he will have to be, but because the GC are going to be a big flock of Ducks. A good hunter could become a great hunter, just because of the size of the flock of the GC Ducks.

The Hunters are that are looking, watching Blueys carcass get carried by the current, have not only Duck fever, they have gold fever. Bluey was almost shot for a decoy. A hit. A planned kill. A decoy to attract Hunters to the pond. You bet it worked. In a couple of weeks, every hunter with dreams of ducks and gold will have a sparkle in their eyes.

How can anyone mention names? With so many with a sparkle in their eye. But I will mention 2 hunters, for two different reasons. One for the correct reason. He is a real hunter. He wants the challenge. He has travelled the world to learn how to learn to teach to learn..He will plot the course and win. The second, well he has the sparkle in his eyes. He has the duck fever, and the gold fever. He wants redemption. He wants revenge. He wants to win. He wants it for himself. He wants the ducks and the gold, the fame and the fortune.

One is Brendon Bolton. The other is Mick Malthouse.


I really do like Peking Duck actually.

Im sure Bluey has most of what he needs to enjoy the rest of his life, to go with the fame and fortune he has had already earned.

I want to win premierships. sorry if im not sentimental enough......

Do you think Bomber will stick around espiecally if the AFL throw

I think Ryder's value has gone right down now that Hird's challenge has been thrown out. The possibility of a 2 year ban is too risky imo

Not if he rats out Hird and expects a reduced backdated ban for cooperation.
 
they wll be running for the doors at Essendon as this stuff just got real today for them
