With Hird hanging on by a thread, Bomber is needed at the EFC. Bomber won't go anywhere!

Glad to see I'm not the only one having issues with double/triple/quadruple/etc posts at the moment lol

If they are going to sack bluey then they would want to do it pretty soon. The free agency period starts in five days and the trade period begins in eight days. You don't want to enter either of those periods without a coach because it instantly makes your club less attractive.

As much as the club is denying it, I still have the opinion they will have been interviewing potential replacements behind closed doors. If someone suitable has presented themselves, Bluey is gone. If not, he coaches on and we possibly repeat the process in 12mths.

Yeah lol - same thing happened with Robert Walls and the Bears with Carlton.
There is more ironic-ness. Primus was the first scalp claimed, then signed as our mid coach. Now I feel that Ratten is more likely to be coaching us, IF Bluey is sacked.

Not a Bluey hater. In fact Bluey's the reason I support the GC. From the West to Gold Coast

What makes you have this opinion , is there something you have heard or guesswork?

Pretty sure they are having the meeting in the next day or two , agree uncertainty doesn't help , need to make a decision one way or another.

If they were moving quickly, this would already be sorted out.

Interesting that some of the scuttlebutt refers to "Bluey's Favourites"
Which was something that had us all scratching our heads at times this year
"Why wasn't he dropped again? Why was he chosen over the guy who put in 5 BOGs (for the Suns) in the NEAFL?"
In contrast you look at a mega power like Hawthorn where Will Langford just bobbed up and took Brad Sewell's spot on form
Hinkley was similarly ruthless at Port throughout the year

This is moving very quickly considering what's at stake here. These admin reviews can take months.

It still needs some time to digest.
I have a feeling they are stretching this out on purpose. I mean it wouldn't be hard for them to call a press conference and announce bluey's resignation later today if they wanted to. Bluey is the club's first and only senior coach, they want to be seen as giving him a fair go and a drawn out process achieves that. It appears (to the public) that Bluey has dodged one bullet already so getting the sack in a few days time won't be as much of a shock and would make it seem as if they thoroughly reviewed his position. For all we know they sacked him the day after the West Coast loss and told him to take a vacation for a few weeks. They then bring him back in just before the free agency period starts for a press conference. That's just a theory but you can see what I'm getting at here.

yeah, not happening quickly.

BUT NOW THE SEASONS OVER.......

Barrett is a flog, but this is massive.
Yeah was just calling him as such in a thread on the Lions board but if this is true, my disappointment at Bluey being sacked would be replaced with excitement. Just wonder who Barrett's sources are because most of the time he just seems to make shit up.

I've searched etc.,

But no one seems to care about tackles!
