just one mate. theres also a very interesting tweet under the rumors board from someone who thinks they are in the know. the timing with the tweet is just too close for my liking. i thinks he's gone sadly.

Doubtful. Voss screwed the club back in the day when they offered him the inaugural senior coaching job for two years and he would take nothing less than a five year contract, even though he committed to the GC17 bid team. But that was six years ago so maybe all is forgiven and forgotten.

FWIW, I think Bomber is being coy because the senior coaching position isn't available right now. He is notorious for not giving much to the media so I wouldn't take much notice of what he said on 360 yesterday.

Gerard made a good point. Maybe we just have yet to speak to him yet. In 48 hours, that could change?

There is a small article in the GC Bulletin today that states the review will not be presented to the board until later this week. I can't see the benefit of sacking a coach a day or two before the free agency period opens unless you have someone else waiting to take his place straight away.

Dragging it on doesn't sit well with me. I hope they don't screw this up.

What's the shortest turn around for a new Coach to be announced after the old one was sacked in the AFL? Anyone know? As far as I know it normally takes a week at least.

I guess it's the legality side of things that holds everything up? Old coaches termination paperwork, new coaches contract, time for perusal and amendments. Players to be informed, etc. Media statements prepared and approved. Sandwiches to be made for Bomber's press conference... It all takes time unfortunately :/
