Not sure if it's old news or not, but SEN is reporting that Hird has confirmed he won't be at the Essendon B&F tonight. Also saying that he's very likely to appeal the court's decision AGAINST the club's wishes.

Why would a coach who is 'in the right' go again the club's wishes by appealing, then not go to the best and fairest awards? Hird is gone, imo. It'll be down to the wire for Bomber whether he goes to GC or stays at EFC.

From a neutral standpoint, I honestly think Bomber will either coach GC or coach nowhere. Can't see him stay at Essendon - not with what's going on now.

That should be the way board sees it. If that is how Thommo feels then he should be removed from the equation now.

Thompson will be the logical replacement and he will be ruled out. Get a chance to really see where he wants to be so not a bad thing for the Suns.

Just watching the news.. Had the draft combine.. Then had the camera pointed at the suns camp with all 6 or so of them on there phones.. Not paying attention. All Pulling awkward shocked faces... Then left for the day.. Awkward much. With all the other clubs there next to you.

I don't know why people on big footy say poor bluey or he was hard done by... for crying out loud he had 4 years to get it right at the sun plus another 2 in the TAC cup and VFL and out of that 6 years he lead the team to the finals once in which they got knocked in the first round in the under 18s. AFL is ruthless tough game and if you don't do the job to the very best expectations you go the way of the Dodo. Bluey wasn't ever the right person for the job, in 2014 he had a team that should of played finals and a seconds team that would honestly get beaten by Labrador under 8s, the club was going nowhere with him at the helm and Bomber has the track record to lead our boys and actually develop the young ones coming through
