gaz and bomber were chatting and having a good time at the brownlow.
Alcohol breaks down inhibitions. Ive even smiled at my ex wife when drunk.

Bomber and GAJ will clash. Time and opportunity. A footy season is going to present both EVERY WEEK.

Anyway. will GAJ want Bomber..? truth? I doubt it. Bolton and GAJ work together seamlessly, I can see that.

Bomber and GAJ having a difference of opinion, I can see that also. If GAJ and Bomber fallout, the GCS will be a basket case, and a lot of us may become Lions.
That's been proven not true tigernova. They were seen joking around at the Brownlow, and as has been stated before, all anamosity was all from Bomber. If Bomber apologizes, GAJ will forgive and already has.

Most clubs have opted for youth. Roos is a bit older, but he is Roos after all. Bolton may be the best of them. To understand how good he is you need to learn a bit about him, his time at the Hawks, what they have said about him, the responsibility they gave him in a time of need, their promotion of him from a non AFL playing background. But the most important thing, the thing that got hm there, is his ability to speak at a subconscious level. NLP and sports psyc. No one is as adept as Bolton in these areas in AFL. No one.
Yep. As you explained on p.63 & p.65 at great length and very good detail.
Understand Bolton is your man, but you shouldn't completely disregard all other options as either rubbish or past it as a result. Otherwise if anyone other than Bolton gets the gig you are going to be bitter and disappointed.
Keep an open mind about all of the available options.

Their "catchup" was apparently before the ceremony, in the hallway so no alcohol would have been involved at that stage. Like what Number17 has said, we know you're hung up on Bolton, but keep an open mind.

Had Bomber been on the assistant coaching staff, when Clarko went down, I suspect Bolton would still have been given the gig from the best run AFL club in the League. Ratton was overlooked, as were a few others. Bolton got the gig, and came out with 100% success. There is a reason they sent him into the fray at that ime of adversity. It is his ability to unify players to a single goal. To be able to talk to them and have them all understand and buy into it. Bomber hasn't got that NLP background. Ratten doesn't, the Hawks have promoted Bolton from a non AFL playing background to an AFL coach in a desperate time.

Hawthorn are the best run footy club wit hthe best coaching staff in the league. When their coach went down they sent in Bolton. What more do you blokes need? Or are you watching old tapes of Bomber not talking to Gary...?

I will tell you one thing. If you sat Bolton, GAJ, and Bomber in the one room for a discussion, Bolton could come out and give you a definitive answer to weather GAJ and Bomber could work together or there will be some conflict. NLP.

READ BELOW AND WEEP. IT WONT WORK.

*1
At the Cricket Victoria media awards night in April 2011, Ablett's manager Liam Pickering even accused Thompson of hindering his client's bid in 2010 for what would have been his second Brownlow Medal. Pickering said Ablett had been moved forward "deliberately"." He was leading every award until the wheels started to fall off internally, and at the end of the year it probably cost him the Brownlow. It probably cost him every other media award, since he was in that sort of form," Pickering said.

*2
If the Suns, as expected, now heavily woo Thompson, and he wants to head north, one issue of particular note will need to be addressed - can he and Gary Ablett work together? And would any move to secure Thompson impact on Ablett's long-term future with the Suns? Ablett is signed for next season but speculation he has inked a three-year extension has not been confirmed by the club or player.

*3
It should be remembered that, in their last season together at Geelong in 2010, Ablett and Thompson did not communicate with each other for five months after an argument erupted in Thompson's office over whether the champion midfielder would re-sign with the club. Ablett said this feud meant it had been up to the Cats' assistants to deal with him for the rest of the season, a point Thompson later disputed. (calls gary a liar)

*4
Ablett later said Thompson had been a "very controlling person" who should not have delved into contract negotiations. He also said Thompson had been "hypocritical", in that he regularly discussed Ablett's contract negotiations through the media at a time when he, too, had failed to commit to the Cats despite having a handshake agreement with former president Frank Costa. Ablett also accused Thompson of having "little digs" publicly at him through the season, beginning at the season launch.

*5
Thompson would join the Bombers at the end of that 2010 campaign as Hird's senior assistant. In his opening press conference with the Bombers, Thompson was asked to compare his decision to leave the Cats with the move made by Ablett to join the Suns, then the AFL's newest baby ."I've not walked away for more money, I've walked away for less money. I've walked away from a job, to do another job. It's completely different (to Ablett) ... I can look myself in the mirror," Thompson said.

Just don't have a complete melt down if Bolton doesn't get the job.
I think any of the options being talked about will be good for the club.
.... and if that's Bolton then perfectly happy with that.

If Thompson becomes coach, i'll be on his back. If GAJ gets unhappy or wont re-sign for the next 3 years i'll leave the club. I don't mind other choices, even if its not Bolton. But Bomber is a mistake, and not a nice one.

Hell, we just went through a player revolt against a bloke I regarded as a nice fella. People are different behind the scenes. Bolton is the best product from the best footy factory in AFL. Yet our Executive are chasing an old flog that doesn't get on with GAJ? FFS!!!!!!!

You need to read new articles, tigernova. It's been stated numerous times from multiple outlets that they patched up their relationship in the start of 2014.
Was the GAJ/Bomber patchup due to options if Bluey was "under pressure"? Just a theory here, but if the patchup started in early 2014 and Bluey's sacking was due to the "player revolution" does this mean the sacking was "set in motion" then?

Mate it doesn't matter what date some headline grabbing journo regurgitates old hat. The dates all relate to 2010 / 2011.

Would suggest they have consulted their captain and the comp's best player on this issue.
Nobody at the Suns has confirmed that Bomber is their main target.
It's all media driven speculation. That includes Bomber using the media to shore up his own employment as we'll.

you got your replies. You just failed to read them.

So Bomber may have had an inkling that Bluey was on the out, saw Gary and slobbered all over him with apologies of times past. Gary, being Gary says ýeah it's all cool'. Paper reports 'patchup'. Little do many know Bomber is positioning himself for the Suns gig and is greasing palms. GAJ, being a young bloke thinks nothing of it. I bet he has an opinion now. Funny we HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING POSSITIVE FROM GAJ?.

GAJ has a 1 season contract. The board want a coach he hates for next season. What TRUTH can GAJ say in public without a furore?

GAJ will be part of who is named coach. Bomber wont get GAJ vote, but if Bomber gets the gig, the GCS wont get 3 more years from GAJ.

That's how I see it.

Although it could be a while to we find out, i'm getting more optimistic that the board will make the right decision with the coach. A coach will not be appointed without the leadership groups backing either one would assume.

When push comes to shove tigernova, Bomber would get GAJ's vote. He has publicly stated since the middle of 2011 that he had no issues with Bomber the coach. The only problem GAJ had with Bomber was Thompson pressuring him to make a decision early when GAJ wanted to wait. From then on their breakdown was heavily publicised, and it was around this meeting in April 2010 that GAJ made up his mind to leave. The personality of Bomber he had an issue with until 2013, when GAJ started the "patchup" on his end saying niceties about Bomber. In early 2014 Bomber started to "come around" and started the "official" patchup.

The issues only arose after the $1.5 million per year offer was put forward to GAJ. I'm sure GAJ won't go all angry child like Bomber did, if Bomber is given a $1.5 million per offer.

My last post for this subject today.

My opinion is we aren't truly chasing Bomber. There is another candidate.

We'll see. If he either gets the job or they interview him then you're wrong because they are obviously interested.
If he gets the job at Essendon* beforehand then you may be neither right or wrong as we may never know if the club was chasing him or not.
If they don't interview him and appoint someone else AND he hasn't got another coaching job at that time, then you will be correct.

Anyway the speculation and anticipation of who will be the new coach is exciting. I'm sure you all agree on that?
