Of course you can call her out but raising the DEI stuff is crap.

Men can be just as crappy in senior roles as women (I’m sure if anyone has been in a corporate organisation you see it on full display). You criticise them for what they do or don’t do. Referencing to the sex, sexuality etc is irrelevant to the conversation and shows an insecurity by the person raising it.

Call her out on her performance, no problems. Don’t claim it was a DEI hire… bullshit American nonsense. What qualifies one to hold that role? She is a qualified lawyer, and has worked in footy administration for a number of years. She is not just some random woman picked off the street. As i said, she is no more shit than others that have held that and similar roles within the AFL - the rest of them being male.

She was hopeless at Roos and proven hopeless at AFL. There’s zero doubt that she was pre-ordained to be the first female CEO. Hell, they’re stupid enough to still go through with it. Dillon is hopeless too, total nepo baby.

And lawyers are rarely good business operators. In fact, I’d be more likely to choose from a pool of lifetime public servants than a pool of lawyers if I was forced to.

This is the correct play. We can then move up or down on the night depending on our talent board in a wide open flexible draft. We must select one prime midfielder from this talent crop. That is non negotiable.
 
Please let's not try any fancy footwork for Jevan Phillipou. I want players to have strong self-confidence but his arrogance is next level. Hope he goes to St Kilda with his brother and they can continue the culture rot at that club.

They showed a few highlights on the news the other night. He looks very exciting to me. Had pace, trusted himself, took the game on. Happy to get him if he’s available.

I’m not hero worshipping her at all. I’m just calling you out on your misogynistic bullshit. She wasn’t a DEI hire, she was well qualified for the role she was hired for.
