That’s just a garbage rumour from trolls on social media, ignore. Absolutely not the incident and also not the player involved.
Was the incident with Darcy Moore?

The AFL will obviously ask when the Rankine slur occurred and who was around at the time, then interview the guys in the immediate area.

I expect any Crows players like ANB, Keays, Dawson, ROB etc to speak up immediately if they heard something, not wait to be asked.

Integrity is more important than protecting wrongdoing/mistakes/oopsies to keep a player for fifinals.
Strongly disagree. If the AFL actually had integrity sure. But its a micky mouse organisation with different rules for different players.

This has bigger ramifications. If you take a star player out of the finals for something that might have been said in the heat of the moment, the penalty is much too large. Seems a bit over the top

The intent of what was said and the people involved is very important for context.
Can you give me an example where context makes it not a slur? I'm just not getting it. Not trying to argue.

A fair chance yes, but you never know....

Anyway it shouldn't matter. Still a slur.
C'mon Geoffa a "fair chance"?

I think the odds are a whole better than that even in today's current totally ****ed up world.

Yep. Some people used to say that Freddy Mercury was gay, but his marriage certainly put paid to that.

Bit over the top don't you think, has the exception become the rule in these crazy times.

Scenario 1 - beat Gold Coast at home and then win a home prelim against Brisbane. Go to GF without Rankine.

Scenario 2 - lose to Gold Coast, try and beat Collingwood or Hawthorn at home, then play Brisbane away in a prelim in the hope of getting Rankine back for the GF.

99% of supporters are choosing Scenario 1 every day of the week.

Let's wait till we see who plays who.

Personally I dont think we can win a GF without our 3 best players playing (TT, Ranks, Dawson).

I’ve only got one source in AFL circles and this is what I’ve been told. Incident isn’t as bad as what Jack Graham said, thinks AFL will make an example of it but would be less weeks than all the other incidents. The Collingwood player allegedly to have been the victim isn’t Quaynor (I’ve been told who it is but won’t mention here). I would be surprised if the Collingwood player involved is the one who reported it.

What did graham say?

Did Rankine use The P word and not the F word

Not what I was told, but similar context to what I believe Rankine was trying to say to the player as an insult for what they did in a previous contest
If he was using a homophobic insult to criticise a players effort, then he is stuffed irrespective.

For example:

“You went in so soft, are you a ******?”

So it isnt the f-word then?

What is less than that? Another word for a personal hygiene shower item?

I assumed this about someone I know quite well.

20 plus year marriage and a very different lifestyle from what we all knew behind closed doors...

In the history of the AFL there has never been a gay player.....yeah right.

Is it complicated enough of a situation that they can't get to the bottom of it by this afternoon?
