The approach we might need to have is allowing a few players like Berry, Nankervis and maybe Butts to seek out opportunities at other clubs to gain extra draft capital. If we could engineer a few 2nd rounders for these kind of players, we could try to bundle them up as a big points haul for one for the sides with high academy picks looking to offload their 1st for extra points. Then we could offer that 1st, our 1st and our F1 for NWM.

We already have enough picks.

Don't need to force out anyone unless they want out.

Absolutely no chance anyone who is in the best 22 is going to want a trade from us to the Saints. Maybe the Saints can convince someone like Butts with some good money and years...?

You'd think it it was going to happen it would be more like player/s traded to other clubs and draft picks received used to satisfy St Kilda

I’d probably help out sending 2 away if we could get a F1 and F2, and maybe move back to Saints pick. Something revolving around us getting the saints pick, and them getting 2, 14, 19/20 and then a bunch of pick swaps revolving around F1s, 2s, 3s of various teams. Adelaide probably moving out of the next 2 first and seconds and getting maybe Saints 2nds, Saints getting our 2nds, and then us moving forward into the Adelaide’s firsts. Type shi

We would be, but if it meant securing NWM as part of the deal, its a no brainer as defenders can be sourced via the Rookie Draft or traded. Keane and Murray are a testament to that....oh and we have Borlase sitting there who can come in and do a job as needed.
