I think it's quite selfish if you're a single woman who just wants a kid so you get some random sperm put in you and you end up raising a kid by yourself. Imo that's not really thinking about the kid at all. Growing up in a single parent household as a result of a medical procedure not knowing what half your genetics are

It's really not any different to people who grow up without a Dad who donated their sperm in the traditional way

I know of two people off the top of my head who have never met their dad - They are fine functioning adults with a loving mother, so why the judgement?
