goodie. Keep Goddard on the field as Captain. If hodge has a blinder then move goddard to the bench and make davis captain if he doesnt play. That way your captain gets 0. So your vc gets the captains score. And because davis doesnt play goddard comes on as an emergency as a normal player. If hodge has a stinker then you just leave goddard as captain.

Alright mate, I have got Ablett C and Barlow VC, with Jaensch on the bench and Pods on the field.

If I want to take Barlow's score, I put Jaensch on the field, give the C to him, and make Pods emergency.

thats it. As long as Jaensch doesnt play this will work.

so then if not happy with hodges score once week 2 comes i can change captian to ablett?

Nope. The eagles paly this week so subbing in Shuey wont help you as you can't put Selwood back on the field next week as Shueys locked. You'll still get Selwoods score though.

You need a non playing emergency in week 2 to be able to take advantage of this double dip at the captain thing. Eg, Playfair, Janesch etc (as long as they dont get picked next week).

Sub in 83k spud ruckman from Collingwood, put him captain and bench Cox (also put as emg)

If not happy with Hodge;s efforts, change captain to Ablett.

If happy with effort, leave captain on Collingwood ruckman that won't play and i'll get Hodge's VC effort and i will get Cox's score even though he is emg.

I'm thinking it's right, in my case anyway. Because Cox will be locked this week which is why i need to bench him and put him as emg for the spud that won't play. I just need some confirmation really.

Need it kind of quick too, lockout is only 20 minutes away. Anyone....?

So who else had Buddy as vice-captain? Looks like the split week VC trick is all systems go. I've never before hoped that one of my bench players (Playfair) won't be selected or that Ablett will have a quiet one next week. Here's hoping it works out as planned.

Thank's to Hodge's handy 130 pts as captain, (yes I locked in since there really ain't that many alternatives in my shitty team, aka...GA or Goddard)

It's now down to...the following matchup.

I'm on 1250 vs opponent's 1270, disregarding players who will cancel each other out...I have...

Malceski, Grimes, O'brien, J Hunt, Pendlebury, Didak and Dangerfield vs...

Gary Ablett (c), Brenden Goddard, Paul Chapman and some random Trent Dennis-Lane who is unlikely to play...

I guess better hope that GA won't pull a 200, which case I lose the round PLUS my plan to pick him up cheap next round..
