Anniversaries/Celebrations when do you do them??

When its been a 60th anniversary for lets say a sporting club that was created in 1961 would 60 years celebration be:

2020 or 2021?

2021 of course.

Otherwise the first anniversary would be the day the club was created.

Just because the VFL screwed it up in 1996 (the 100th season ), doesn't mean the rest of us need to.

I have this bugbear with music festivals. Bluesfest is a major culprit when it comes to marking anniversaries a year early.
