This topic is so awesome. Some of these shows I could still watch today, don't mind watching Arthur when my younger brother is watching it these days. Some crafty references in that show.

But overall I feel genuinely sorry for the kids of today, having been exposed to some of the recently made rubbish that is on ABC kids now. Probably a case of PC gone mad more than anything.

And cartoons should not have morals or political messages. So in my eyes Captain Planet = Epic Fail.

I remember when they took the Golliwog out of Noddy because it was racist. Some cartoons with morals and/or political messages are good. I disagree with you on Captain Planet, that was an awesome show. Also Widget the World Watcher, where he tried to save Earth through environmental stuff, was equally as awesome.
