Closer to a 1000m i reckon.

Drew the carpark, was 3 wide for ages, then lead for 1200m, and got overrun near the end.

Still one of the great efforts that didn't win i reckon.

Dream Pedlar would need a similar effort to pull off a win.

What to make of this race?

DD looks a weighted cert but is bred to be a miler & has to emulate Northerly to win a CC at his first try at 2400m
Lucas gets back,hasnt raced a field bigger than 11 & has had 2 weeks of foot problems...& now bar plates OMG
M High has topweight in a CC off 1 Gp1 win in its life
S Speed is a 4yo mare whose longest win is at 1400m & looked anything but a stayer against 3yo fillies
Green Moon looked liked Phar Lap at Newcastle but hasnt raced for a month

Dont like the caufield cup for a bet, so many horses can win and i think December Draw is way to short for a horse that needs to go up a fair bit in distance. Getting on Green Moon, Drunken Sailor, Tullamore, Southern speed was probably the way to go. But these horses are probably too short now as well.

Seriously, that was like a training run, McEvoy hardly even touched him, I can't wait to see him take on BC, even if it is next year in England.

I love Snowden's response when TVN interviewed him and tried to pick holes in the performance "He's run 1.3.11".
