Ran straight past Green Moon who is no slouch with a great burst from the 300-200. Was pushed along from the 800 onwards. And in a race where a 3yo is the favourite I am happy to take the $61's on a horse that should be up near the pace and running home in a very weak Cox Plate field.

Southern Speed draws out wide today its doesn't run in the first 3, and that 3yo might be very special. Just my opinion anyway.

Connections are aware of ratings and racing Black Caviar was not on the agenda. So I expect we have to wait until next year.

It's a pity because in avoiding BC, they missed the chance to race Sepoy ( who is also avoiding BC ) gggrrrrrr

So despite being a 74 rated horse, Barakey is braining them over there. I took notice four starts back when they said the next Haylist. I thought wtf but now glad i've been along for the ride.

I'm leaning towards Jimmy also, I just don't think it's a really strong Cox Plate, if SYT had have come back, and be trained properly he'd win this by 5 lengths IMO.

If Jimmy Choux is the real thing, he should win this, even with Helmet in the race, Helmet for me will struggle the last 200-300m of a race that although it stats 2040m, is more like a 2400m staying test most times.

Glass Harmonium is the horse I can't get out of my head though, that second in the Turnbull was great form if you ignore DD breaking down.

Helmet's Guineas win reminded me of SYT's first Cox Plate win. Straight to the front and ran them off their legs.

I'm not gonna back him at his price, but i'd still tip him on top.
