I like Laser Hawk @8 i think it can beat Royal Descent. Gets a 4kg advantage on RD, took the lead covering RD who got a nice run and still wasnt far off. Think it offers value at 8 and can win. Hard to guage Hes Your Man against these horses.

Unsure why Toydini is so short after its last

That track was a joke (as most are in Sydney week to week). But this week it all comes up Toydini, well weighted, rail true, fast run race, firmish track, Randwick Mile. If you dont see the best of him this week you never will again.

HYM, perfect race for him IMO, dry track is what he wants, oodles of talent, untried against the best Sydney Milers but i just remember McDonald jumping off him either first or 2nd up this prep saying wow. You know he will run it out, the harder they go the better, with 52.5kgs he's thrown in.

I am warming to Entirely Platinum in the Turnbull and also Temple of Boom for the Gilgai, while ToB isn't a big winner it looks an ordinary field and should be right up there....

I can't look past Chautauqua in the Gilgai, last furlong just too impressive 3 weeks ago. Draws the inside this time but can't see that being a huge problem

Chautauqua could be a freak

Agree, was on last time as well, huge win, its classes above but not ruling out a Manikato win with LR wobbling round the Valley bend like a drunk. If Chautauqua draws barrier 10 instead of 1 tomorrow you're getting $2, not $3. The New Zealander the only possible danger in my humble.

Agreed. Ticks more boxes than Bounding. Such as raced and won down straight, Hawkes step laddering (grade to grade), Mark Duplessis isn't on it. Deadset his 2 rides last week were putrid, nearly broke his own neck on Our Vespa, clearly didn't look at aussie form, or you wouldn't try and race up against the rail against liberation lol. Other ride I think he tried to race for luck on the rail and constantly found traffic and checking the horse.

Any particular reason why?

I'm no form guru but H.Y.M to me has huge scope for improvement. Boban is good but i think his peak is known.

Just a gut feel but i think Royal Dis is looking for further
Boban could get trapped on the bloody fence
and HYM is flying

but eh, WTF do i know..I'm a spring punter who watches and "hopes"

Boban got caught on rail behind Dessident recently IIRC? He is back at his preferred distance but is carrying 6kg.

Am on RD at Lux cause she loves to run 2nd :D

Looking to get on one of these two at sportsbet

Wait, think you will get $5 the field tomorrow.

Boban trailed very very well recently so i wouldn't say dont bet on him.

HYM, for the reasons stated above and the 52.5kgs, measuring upside or talent vs class is a difficult thing to do but with 52.5kgs he gets his chance. Much like Trust in a Gust vs Dissident last Sunday. Always liked the horse and just think with the speed in the race and the 2000m run under his belt it looks a great race for him providing the track is dead 5 +. Like barrier 10 compared to Boban's barrier 1 with the rail in the true position as well.

Star rolling also a chance with a huge drop in weight

Personally think he is a bit of a flat track bully, no good when another speed runner is in the same race, likes to dictate, Laser Hawk won't allow him to.

Sincero is one I'm a little keen on in Sydney tomorrow, hasnt won in a while but i liked the trial, much in the same vein as Manawanui resuming a few weeks back. Had outstanding first up stats before the last two preps when there was clearly issues.

Toydini EW is a ripping bet. Liked it's chances last start, but got too far back and really warmed up late. Had 3 trials to start this prep off, seems to me like it's a target race.

I was on him last start too but the run was pretty average I thought. It was a slowly run race and he never had a chance but I was still disappointed. Lucia Valentina came from just behind him and beat him home by over a length

Haven't really looked at Sydney yet but my initial likings for Melb ...

River Lad in the sprint.
Super Cool in the main race (hopefully it'll hold a decent price)
Enquare in the 2nd last.

Despite saying never again the Lux offer has sucked me into backing the queen of the casts ONE LAST TIME in the Epsom. Have ordered snipers set up around the course just in case she runs 3rd.

Quick thoughts on the other Group 1s
Turnbull - PDL - becoming a huge non-winner but I think it clearly has the best form in the race and the two that beat him home last time might be the best 2 WFA horses in the country? I also think they will be trying to win unlike a few others in the race.
Flight - Winx seems ridiculous odds given she went down less than a length last time when odds-on - especially given the winner was almost $20 that day! Think the price might look super silly post race.
Metrop - some pretty ordinary cattle going around here for mine. Spillway looks the one that may have some pretensions to class so will back him to win. Will also have a small EW go on Brigantin for the '#LOL Aussies stayers are shit' factor. I think he is way too big a price.

Finding it difficult to go with Boban or He's your man?

thoughts?

I've had a lot of success following Boban in the past and will go again tomorrow for old times sake. Back to the Sydney way of going and with even luck will be there at the finish.

As has been mentioned HYM is improving all the time and could be anything.
