year and a half lay off, I know she is a quality mare and trialed well but I think this one is fairly open

There will be plenty of differing opinions on this race i think.

Ive bet on two: Not listen'tome (who blows them away if he's anywhere near his best) and Iconic who loves Caulfield and will be off the hot speed, is completely underrated in betting for mine. Could also make a case for Sessions who i may also have a little bet on as well.

Not saying anything else can't win, its a very open race, but they are the value runners in it for me.

Way to read :$

Im saying it deserves it place in the field and will be competitive

Based it on its career form there is no way it deserves its place in the field.

Having said that I would still back it in the Cox Plate before voting for a god-bothering climate change denying fkwit like Tony Abbott ;).

However, when it comes to the Sport of Kings - there is nothing I like more than seeing a sheikh-owned multi mllion dollar blue blood annhilating his genetically inferior rivals :D.

My G1 thoughts

Caulfield Stakes - haven't backed Dissident yet this prep so why start now :D - also think Sacred Falls is better at the mile which leaves me with FAWKNER - clear top 3 in the race on form lines - just got to hope that Lloyd is going to actually try. Think he might be the best 2000m+ horse in Australia right now so will pay to find out.
Toorak - massive lottery/trap race for mine so will play small - will have somthing on GUEST OF HONOUR just in case he is way to good for them and the 58kg's look like a featherweight post race. Of the locals I will forgive ATLANTE his last start failure. He beat TIAG two starts back and will probably be 2-3x his price come race time.
1000 Guineas - very open edition. Looking for the horse that has the potential to show the most improvement and think that might be LUMOSTY now that she has had her kill down at the provincials.
Caulfield Guineas - RICH ENUFF looks the obvious and form lead ups, and sometimes these 3yos can just keep the run going in the Guineas. He is short but not willing to back anything to turn the tables.
Spring Champion - FIRST SEAL - was against her in the Flight but that win was stunning! Could be a star? Hope she smashes them and goes to the Cox Plate.

Careful what you say, i suggested this last week and was told i was a ****ing moron. Welcome to the my special club, moron. :D

Going to be hard from the paddock. Last start was her GF and she is only in the Spring Champion because it was such a soft win last start. She is being spelled win lose or draw after Saturday

Yea, heard Thompson say this myself, posted what i posted straight after the win mind you.

I honestly still think she could win it with 46kgs, but he knows the horse, he knows how much she has left in the tank.

Very very Atlantic Jewel like though, that explosion off a moderate speed, even the ratings knobs were pulling hard over that run, apparently through the roof.

Caulfield stakes - hard one, but i like foreteller with fawkner and dear demi to fill the placings
toorak - atlante for me, shortly followed by arabian gold and commanding jewel
1000 - go indy go and afleet esprit will fight it out to the line and pickin time goes alrght
the big one - rich enuff, paddocks second, merion kumaon,
sydney - first seal, panzer division then sweynesse

She is the only 3yo I've seen so far that has any 'wow' factor about her.

The boy's have been taking a turns a bit too haven't they? Despite Jugada wanting 5 of them in the Cox Plate I'm not that excited by the male brigade.

Caulfield Guineas - Rich Enuff. Last start win was simply stunning. Will kick away with about 300m to go and nothing will catch it. Place hopes to Almalad, LLTC, Merion, Moonovermanhattan.

Thousand Guineas - Tricky race. Afleet Esprit will look like the winner with 100m to go, the question is can Go Indy Go or Lumosty catch her. One at odds is Tahni Dancer who absolutely flew home over 1200m at the valley last start. Will eat up the 1600m and go close to winning this.

Caulfield Stakes - Cracking race. Huge Fawkner fan and believe he'll be running top 2 in this on his way to winning the Cox Plate. Foreteller is going beautifully and a great value bet. There could be 4 or 5 of these crossing the line together here. Big watch on Dissident over the 2000m.

Toorak - Oliver jumping on Guest of Honour puts him right in this race immediately. Trust In A Gust keeps improving and will be right in this finish. I was on Bull Point last start in the Rupert Clarke and won't be getting off now. The extra 200m will suit and hopefully he can be a little closer to the speed this time in.

Cracking day of racing. Good luck to all.

Rich Enuff has been twice as impressive as First Seal

The favourite for the Thousand Guineas is a filly whose only win came in a Sale maiden. The boys are streets ahead of the girls imo

Rich Enuff is purely a sprinter, distance query for me tomorrow, we are talking Cox Plates, keep up with the pace. :$

I think the point Paris and myself were making is that at 2000m we think she would be a chance in the Cox Plate, as compared to the males who run over a smiler distance of the same age.

It seems O'Shea thinks Sweynesse is a Cox Plate horse, will be interesting to see what First Seal does to a Cox Plate aspirant of the same age tomorrow over 2000m

Thinking that the extra furlong brings LLTC and STW right into this. Both will fly home so the question will be can RE go the mile? What sticks out most in my mind is over the 1400 he was still being ridden hands and heels.

I don't think Sweynesse can win it either, Almalad is my pick of the 3yos for the Cox Plate
