Similar side to the one hellfire posted:

HB: Heath Shaw, Ben Reid, Martin Clarke
C: Jaxson Barham, Scott Pendlebury, Dale Thomas
HF: Alan Didak, Travis Cloke, Steele Sidebottom
F: Tarkyn Lockyer, Chris Dawes, Brent Macaffer
Foll: Cameron Wood, Leon Davis, John McCarthy

INT: Dayne Beams, Dane Swan, Jack Anthony, Ryan Cook, Alan Toovey, Chris Bryan

Subs: Ben Johnson, Simon Prestigiacomo

Stanley *******ed again.
Apart from that some good inclusions. Odd that Steele maing the squad wasn't mentioned or trumpeted in the article. Barham's pace is a step up from Rhyce's, he is absolutely blistering , decision making and kicking through the ball are slight issues , but would like to see him get a go at the dome.

He's been in the squad for all 3 games now, just hasnt survived the cut, hopefully this week is different.

I couldn't agree more with you line up Hellfire. Very good. It's an embarassment of riches that we are able to put that side on the paddock with Rocca, Rusling, Maxwell, Fraser and Medhurst not picked.
the potential is certainly there.. hopefully .. we can turn this potential into something special come season proper

Does anyone know if we have a confirmed captain yet? I wonder if Pendles will be a showing a few extra nerves if he is it....

I'm glad Wood is getting another shot, although another poor showing should mean he's dropped for the GF/RD1, he's got to have incentive to perform well. Also, I had a dream last night that Wood backheeled a goal out of the air ala Didak, which is obviously a sign.

A sign from the Footy Gods! And one vouchsafed to an innocent newbie! Now I'm really excited, VV. If we even get a whiff of finals, I'll expire

So its the WOOD vs BRYAN show.

Ready to see the Bear take on the fairy penguin.

Surely this game has to be a battle for who would start next week in the GF and also Round 1.

At the moment, I prefer the less talented but fully committed Bryan, even though to be a top side we need 2 good ruckmen.

We are also seeing a bit of a battle royale for places in the pecking order of our foward line. We saw Dawes struggle and Anthony get a pass grade. Dawes went out and Reid stepped up and did well. Macaffer was promising and Anthony a little below par. Dawes put his hand up in the two's so it is interestingly poised atm.

It will be intresting to see how it all unfolds over the next couple of weeks. Especially because this week everyone fighting it out besides Rusling is in the squad.

I'm very interested to see where Reid lines up tomorrow night. The talk all season was that he was going to the backline but he started last week up forward again and looked very good. I still think it's between him and JA for a spot in the side come Round 1 as a swingman. If Macaffer plays like he did in the 1st quarter as well things will become very interesting.

Don't believe in Dreams tell you something because I had dream before the Draft we would get Trengove with pick 11 but it turned out to be Steele.

Those would love to see Wood do it:thumbsu:

Intresting Match-Up I reckon could be Hurley on Dawes

Essendon have dropped Watson, Neagle and Gumbleton from their squad

Magin, Quinn and Williams are in

So 3 players i know out and 3 i have never heard of in, so a very very young side this week

I think all three are running players. Quinn is the irish fella so look out for him Snag.

I get the feeling both teams are happy to have made the semi-final and got 3 games on good grounds but now they are starting to look towards Rd 1.

We've rested Josh, Maxwell and Harry. With Neagle and Gumbleton rested also we may see N Brown or L Brown rested too.

I thought Reid played a dominant role last week, worked very hard, took strong contested marks, delivered long and accurate passes forward and rarely lost a one-on-one. Look forward to watching his progression tonight, I get the feeling that Reid (the Man-Child) will play beyond his years this season and become a focal utility in our line-up.
