I looked it up using a currency converter online and it is $52 Billion AUD, not million. Our dollar is piss poor compared to the won. It's around $33Billion USD too.

Should I watch this? One of my friends said it gave her anxiety ????
I would say so, just try not to learn anything about it because I got stick ruined and it ruined the whole show for me

So it is Au Billion?

That’s wat I said up the page
nah, million. Billion is incredibly unrealistic, especially when you consider a VIP was pissed about losing a mil
anyone else think the Plane was meant to crash with him in it?
nah, i think it was more of a **** off we don't need your drama

Just finished it. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Brutal and heartwrenching.

I knew there was something up with the old man. Just seemed out of place, especially in the first episode. Something about the way he said to Gi-Hun that he knows all about the players etc.

One thing that gets me is that they had 456 participants this round. And have had previous rounds. Surely mass numbers of disappearances would alert the police, even though they hinted that they changed countries for rounds.

Don’t think the show has got the green light yet for a second season. As far I know it was never envisioned to have a follow up, whilst it makes sense for a follow up, I’am not sure if it’s necessary or not.
I like how you said green light

Subbed. Friend also mentioned they thought the dub was extra cringey.
I'm changing between, subbed certainly seems more natural, but I've gotten used to dubbed.
How've you liked the show? I'm episode 2

at times i rewatched a scene or a few lines of interaction using english dubbed, and compared it to the subtitled translation. At times it was lulz.

I reckon it was mostly a really good show and the concept is a ripper.

Someone mentioned great acting earlier, I certainly wouldn’t say all the acting was great. Some of it was and some of the acting was also very ordinary. I find some of the histrionics by the Korean actors to be annoying (not just in this show). Is that what Koreans are like in real life?

The VIPs were just annoying and probably the worst acting/ dialogue I have ever witnessed. Luckily they only play a big part in one episode.

Don’t get me wrong though, I really enjoyed the show. Marbles was mentally brutal and the bridge game was traumatic.

agreed. The VIPs chat was cringey. "oh yeah 69 you dirty man".

Then again, the phone number changes, and the fact nobody would believe anyone, you gotta remember.
100 votes each side and 180 something came back, so that leaves 20 that would have roamed the streets

True, but minus the ones who didn't return, that leaves over 400 poeple just disappeared. If 400 people disappeared at roughly the same time, surely there would be a mass police investigation.

Mrs Chief is into the romantic K-Dramas at the moment, so my brother says "hey if you're into the Korean shows check out Kingdom and Squid Game." I'm there like "and how are a Zombie show and a crazy death-match series K-Dramas??"

have you seen how big asia is?

On squid wars,
The bridge game
....was incredible. That one’s stayed with me.

Good point. And as Kirby said the music during teh bridge game was haunting. I also dont do well with heights and the thought of slipping whilst jumping to the next one...and what happens next....

but For mine, the tug of war was the most galling. I think because we know if you fall off you lose and die. BUT i dont think they showed the guillotine or spoke about that in the pregame. So when teh first losers fell i thought yep goodbye, but then seeing them suspended for a moment and hearing the screams....then whoosh cut dead.

acting wise some have mentioned the OTTness. Certainly han mi-nyeo was that. but it also illustrated how crazy she was.

the ending, or the twist i should say....hmmmmm. i thought it was interesting....old man river wanting to relive his childhood over and over again. the brains behind it.

The show shines a light on society, the ills and the moral fibre of humans. $ talks in most ways, but also speaking from an azn perspective losing face in relation to job, money, ability to support self and others was an underlying current providing life to the show. Most would suggest GET OUT AND LIVE! But to the desolate asian....

valid point

now that i think about it. he smiled a lot, with the exception of fight night where he was terrified.
