Will Adelaide head to the left regardless if they win big or small if Essendon kick more than 10 goals?

If it's any consolation, Squiggle thinks Carlton are doing so badly that the whole graph needs to be moved up to fit their new position inStupid Melbourne.

Squiggle currently predicting no finals in Victoria until at least week 2Round hasn't finished but Richmond have taken their rightful place of 9th in the Squiggle

Oh and here's what the TOWER OF POWER looks like! I haven't done this for a while.

This is made by running 10,000 season simulations and counting how many times each team winds up where.
At this stage, there's still lots of uncertainty, so teams are mostly long slashes, capable of finishing in many different positions. As the weeks go by, they tend to flatten out.
Adelaide are already settled in the top 4, though, the squiggle reckons, and Brisbane are very likely for the spoon.

nup, time to get rid of the squiggle. no longer 9thWe're in the 8, woo squiggle!
Don't care, we don't finish 9thSquiggle predicts Richmond travel to Perth and lose yet another elimination final after finishing 8th
It picked us to lose half the first 4 games. 50% chance it's wrong there too.Squiggle predicts Richmond travel to Perth and lose yet another elimination final after finishing 8th
Didn't a team travel to Perth as outsiders in an elimination final last year?Squiggle predicts Richmond travel to Perth and lose yet another elimination final after finishing 8th
Surely there have been some media coverage of such a momentous event if it occurred...Didn't a team travel to Perth as outsiders in an elimination final last year?

That team was to be respected with the footy they were playing. If your mob knocks off Adelaide in a few weeks, we'll talk.Didn't a team travel to Perth as outsiders in an elimination final last year?

PreciselyThey've got no chance.
That team lost to a bottom 4 side on the same ground only two weeks beforehand. That team was to be respected with the footy they were playing. If your mob knocks off Adelaide in a few weeks, we'll talk.
I'm too drunk and tired to deal with your logic. That team lost to a bottom 4 side on the same ground only two weeks beforehand.

The short of it is I don't see Richmond as a top 8 team, let alone a premiership contender just yet. Their only real challenge in the past 4 rounds has been WC on their home deck, and even then my team didn't come to play and shit the bed again. They need to face some quality opposition away and beat them before I rate them. North went 9 zip to start last year. We all know how that ended.

Wasn't my.intention to insult your team. Richmond definitely came to play, and play well they did. Do you not sincerely believe that WC's third quarter and the fact it was at the G played into your hands though? I honestly believe Richmond should have won by more, a top 4 team would have screwed WC into the ground.Ah yes of course, Richmond didnt win... WCE didnt come to play. Astute logic.
Maybe it's stubborn of me, but Richmond has shown flashes of brilliance for the past couple seasons, before it all turns to shit. North looked like certanties for the flag this time last year and they collapsed in a heap by round 10. I'm not saying that'll happen to the tigers, but I have enough prior evidence to know that jumping on them as top 4 certainties in round 5 of the season is premature. They haven't played anyone of genuine quality, so I'm not jumping on the bandwagon just yet. Apologies if me keeping the lid on offends you.Richmond might not be a proven contender, but asserting at 4-0 that they're not a top 8 team seems to be very stubborn. They've proven much more than a bunch of teams which have lost matches of middlish difficulty.
