New Zealand have so much time on their hands; still three days. Leading by 250 with nine wickets still in hand. If they bat another day they'll be up to leading by 550-600.

New Zealand 231/2 at stumps, so leading by 305 overall.

Sri Lanka did amazingly well to save the first Test, but they'll need a Houdini act or the weather to intervene on their behalf to get out of this one.

No rain until the day after the test according to the forecast. They'll need something of Atherton proportions to save the game

New Zealand's lead is now 600. Incredibly, there is still the best part of seven sessions left in the game.

Colin De Grandhomme must be one of the better lower-middle order wallopers in world cricket. 45 off 23 here.

SL are now 1/1 after an over of the chase.

Genuine chance of one of the rarest results there is here; a 500+ run loss.
