Sri Lanka have been touring since December - now have to face SA after NZ and Aus. Will be interesting to see how easily the SA attack tear through Sri Lanka's lineup considering how easily Australia did it.

First test starting shortly - Sri Lanka fielding first.

Yeh looked out that LBW.

Did Aleem Dar just not see the signal or ignored it because they took too long? I didn't think it was long at all after what I had seen throughout the summer.

Edit: Just going through it now. No prompt after 10 seconds.

Bit rough that.

Bavuma has only played 35 matches? I swear he has played more.

This Fernando guy is good

Wow what a peach of a delivery.

Just based on what they’ve shown in Brisbane, Canberra and here, Sri Lanka aren’t without fast bowling talent, it’s just a question of whether these guys can develop skills enough to compensate their lack of height and pace to take wickets when it gets a bit flat.

Dean Elgar looks sad.

Given Sri lanka’s propensity recently for taking a glut of early wickets then falling over, and the propensity Of the Faf, Bavuma and QdK triumvirate to bail their side out of trouble, this is probably the perfect situation for SA

Agree with you, I don't rate Bavuma at all but he tends to score runs when SA are in trouble.

Absolutely disgusting umpiring
Pretty much sums of all of Aleem Dar's umpiring now. Now a complete liability who gets more wrong than right.

I'm expecting Bavuma to score a gritty 50 here, it's the sort of situation which he seems to go well.

SL really need to look at improving their pitches so that Pace bowlers can have an impact at all levels of cricket. SL sometimes carry 1-2 3 pace bowlers when playing at home. At FC cricket, pace bowlers don't bowl long spells or innings due to the conditions and it hurts when they go to the next level.

Some of these guys a brought into test cricket after a handful of FC games or a couple great games.

Vishwa Fernando again impressive.

Hilarious that he got dropped for mugs like Gamage after his debut.

There's another guy called Asitha Fernando who was super impressive in the U19 world cup that Hetmyer's lads won. He was the opening bowler with Kumara in that tournament and he looked better than Kumara tbh. Not sure why he hasn't made the cut.

You'd be spewing if you got out like that with Lunch not far away.

On cricbuzz..

Avishka says: "Familiar situation for SL. They use the new ball to great effect and gain the advantage but not good enough to capitalize."

avishka5 This you Avishka?
