This mornings Age says young Brooks of Port to St. Kilda.

Primus may end up their only ruck.

Who knows.. I know that St Kilda would either want Brooks or Brogan.. for the younger side of things.. but i can't see how brooks would make an immediate impact on the rucking duties..

Anyone from port care to indicate how good brooks is?

Why would Port trade off a player they only got this year, whos family lives in SA, and who has been a Port supporter all his life, who was rated as the best ruck in last years draft???

Brooks is developing quite nicely - he's definitely got talent (good kick, good mark, can win a tap), and trading him before he's even ready to fully assess would be foolish to say the very least.

a) he's Tasmanian, and not likely to get professionally homesick
b) he's actually a Port fan, with family in SA
c) by the time he's 21 and near ready to go, Primus will be 30 and near ready to go.
d) the bad reputation Port'd get for sending teenagers all around the country for no good reason

Trading Brooks would be as stupid for us as West Coast trading Sampi, or St Kilda trading Dal Santo or Clarke.

Thats what I thought... Brooks would be untouchable.. but comon.. port would have to consider 1 of them.. most likely brogan...
