I suspect that we will use our inexperienced players like Hall to fill holes while our first choice players are unavailable and then as those return, we will rotate our newer players for a set of matches then head them back to Sandringham to work on any issues perceived by the player development coaches.

G'day Saints, I have Hastie and Boyd in my SuperCoach team. I might trade one or the other or both out this week, which one is more likely to make a return anytime soon.

Hall is one of my targets any thoughts on his job security or scoring potential.

From a fan perspective, I would prefer to see more of Hastie than Boyd, especially if Keeler is selected and playing well enough as I think Keeler has a natural leap which lends itself to being a backup ruck.

But the truth is I just don't know. We were all blindsided by the Hastie sub last week when there were plenty who weren't contributing around the ground <hillcough>. And we've been blindsided again with selection this week, so it's tough to predict who comes back first, with any conviction.

Hall is a conundrum for me. I didn’t start with him on the basis of JS. And while I regret that, I still don’t have him marked down as a fix up trade.

Many here think he gets pushed out when King, Sharman and Butler become available again.

But, he had a good first game off a flawless preseason and is making a strong claim to staying in the best 23.

My gut feeling is if he has another day out against the cats then he is probably good for a 4-6 week block. But, I’ll wait and assess at the end of R2.

Travaglia will be an interesting Supercoach trade-in debate this week. Job security looks decent at the moment, but I do think he will get dropped at some stage or moved to sub, with a few to bring back into the side. He, Garcia, Hall or Byrnes probably need to make way

His game looks solid and I feel like he has a floor of around 50, but hasn't shown any potential for a high ceiling yet. At $170k he's just a little bit too awkward for me. His DPP could be handy though when it comes to upgrade season.

Freo only kicked 3 behinds on the weekend but Sinclair took 2 of them so he's taking what's there. I presume that won't happen again this season so the will usually be a lot more points available to him there.

I turfed TDK last week for Xerri and saved 66 points. Thank goodness because Matt Rowell couldn’t beat the flex this week.
